2023 Trade Rumors and Gossip Involving the Jazz

You think that plays with or without Beal? Maybe the player that works in either context is what they’re targeting.
I kinda do… I think moving Beal and taking like Ausar with the potential that you go full process could look really bad. If he’s raw… and he’s in that type of environment… I’m not sure it’s great for development. Black would theoretically help all the other young players and set culture plus he works with Beal if they don’t do that trade.

It’s just kinda a feeling… so open to other thoughts.

I think they for sure go PG. Black/Wallace/Bufkin.

That’s good reasoning.

I would really like it if Ausar is there at 9 for the inverse of the reasons you just laid out: in the RIGHT environment I think he could really turn out.

He's the right intersection of player type, prospect, and draft position to take a "swing" imo lol. If we landed pick 10 as well and took Wallace or Black at 9... I'd be fine with Bilal as I get it. I just think I'd bet on a few others first. I also get @KqWIN 's argument of why not Bilal at #9 but we'd be over the moon with Ausar... I'm just betting on draft experts I guess.

General Rumors:

** Jazz are perceived to be Jarace Walker's floor at #9.
** Jazz reportedly have Anthony Black high on their board, but he's likely to go in the top 8.
** Utah and OKC have reps in Monaco to watch Bilal Coulibaly this week.
** Rafael Barlowe thinks Bilal Coulibaly is in play for Utah at #9.
** Jazz are dangling #16 and #28 to move up a few spots into the lottery. Target is likely a guard (e.g., Bufkin, George, Wallace, JHS, NSJ)
** Detroit is discussing a trade with Dallas, sending Bojan Bogdanovic for the #10 pick. (ouch)
** Kobe Bufkin has been selective about where he's been willing to workout. Draft range could be 8 - 17.
** Minnesota is expected to trade Karl Anthony Towns by early in the free-agency period.
** Washington is expected to do a full rebuild. Brad Beal is available for trade, but will need to waive his no-trade clause.
** Golden State is exploring options to trade Kuminga for a draft pick.
** Dynasty era may be ending in Golden State. Draymond expected to move on in free agency.
** James Harden reportedly torn between Houston and Philly, but may just be posturing to get the bag.
** Phoenix may waive and stretch Chris Paul, making him a free agent.
** FVV and GTJ expected to leave Toronto in free agency.

With all the potential movement this summer I think there is some opportunities as third wheels in trades. Using cap space and stuff to help facilitate bigger deals and getting disproportionate value for the helping hand.

What is Kuminga... I just don't get if he's a 4 who doesn't shoot that well... I just have a hard time with him. Seems like someone we should be interested in but I'm just not.

Funny thing is the Warriors beat writer hyped him up like crazy earlier saying outside of the top-2 pick/ talent wise nobody is on his level.

Pundits are saying, "If you can't shoot, you can't play in the playoffs." That seems to be the situation with Kuminga, who in theory should have been the perfect guy to help guard Lebron or Anthony Davis. Or at least Rui Hachimura.

Love Bogey, but no way he's get the 10 pick.
