2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Exum had bounce. I think people forget, especially off one foot. He still has bounce after the ACL injury. He just had some funky body control in the air.
Nah. He was always slow to get vertical. Maybe he could get altitude with a little extra time to load up but that’s a luxury in the NBA.

YHeah, I think this is revisionist history or maybe you just remember the post ACL season, but he could absolutely get off 1 foot quickly. They just often ended up with him falling.

I still don't think he got a ton of elevation on those. Even before the ACLs.
Like I said, he definitely doesnt have the 2 foot jumping ability Coulibaly has, but most his dunks are off-ball when he gets a chance to load up. He's not really dunking in a ton of traffic. Exum was pretty good at getting up off 1 foot in traffic, but he just fell a lot and he got to a point where he got worried about contact and he would start contorting his body away from contact on dunk attempts which made them look less impressive.

But now that that's he healthy he has shown pretty great bounce off 1 foot in the Euroleauge and has caught quite a few bodies.

BTW the Greek game got wild... game has been suspended because angry Panathinaikos fans(they were losing by like... 30) rushed on the floor and are throwing stuff(bottles, fireworks, etc) on the floor from the stands... breaking seats and throwing them on the floor... etc. wild stuff...

Anyone else get Exum vibes from Bilal? Apologies if this is an observation someone else has made, but to me he reminds me a lot of Exum. Even their set jumpshots look similar.

Yes, definitely. Which is why I dislike him as a lottery pick at 9. I'm fine picking him at 16 but he probably won't be there then. Hyped and mystery draft prospects scare me, just like how Robert Swift was, Bruno Caboclo, Dante Exum, Frank Ntilikina, Thon Maker and so on.

I think Hendricks will be the guy who drops to #9 if the first 8 picks go chalk. Jazz would be deciding between Hendricks and Bilal at #9 if they don't move up.
