Trump Dictatorship and All Things Politics

trump administration has no plan for when we hit bottom. They are just hoping that taxing American consumers and companies is somehow going to create a new renaissance in domestic production.

Even if it could work, the result would still be higher prices or lower wages.

And with unemployment so low, where would we get the people to fill this theoretical domestic production boom?

Gonna have to empty out them insane asylums again. Bring back the pet eaters. Welcome home the rapists and murderers. That's what we would need to fill all these new positions.

Or maybe the plan is to get kids out of school (RIP department of education) and put them to work (hello new laws allowing more child labor in Florida) and since kids are still living at home they don't have bills to pay so we can pay them minimum wage!

This is government by the uneducated for the uneducated.

Normally the keys to a dictatorship are handed to the dictator when things are a mess and society is at their lowest, or they are in great peril. Since we are the 800 lb gorilla in the world, militarily speaking, the peril part isn't an option. So all they are left with is to destroy societal security, drive unemployment to pandemic levels, and drive the economy into a depression deep enough to generate panic and chaos. This gives them the option to swoop in and take over in a coup (remember, bloodless if the regular people allow it) and take full dictatorial control to "fix" the **** that they themselves broke. And do it right, generate enough panic and chaos, and they expect to be welcomed as saviors, and frankly if it gets bad enough, many will do exactly that. Almost like Stockholm Syndrome. That has been the aim all along, and so far the plan is going swimmingly. Musk thought he could glamp on in the middle, not really understanding what the deeper purposes were, and enrich himself even further while playing Nazi to feed his deeply held racist and sexist beliefs, until the people took action against him directly and now he wants out as it took his own wealth in the opposite directly. But he proved a very valuable distraction for the real actions of the administration. As long as Musk was taking the heat, they could continue along the lines of their blueprint and keep bringing Project 2025 to fruition with little fanfare and little dissent. Which is what they want in the end. Hopefully everyone wakes up in time to stop the coup. I have a lot of concern that we won't.

At Least it’s entertaining and getting clicks. Sure, you might lose your job, home, and starve. But, you know, clicks. Clinton, Biden, and Harris were just too boring. Trump is nonstop entertainment for a country just awash with nonstop junk internet and teevee. Life is entertainment!

Great post.

Is there a better time for a hero like Bernie?

Fantastic video. Bernie laid it out clearly and honestly like usual.

I'm now googling if and when he is coming to my neck of the woods as I would like to come out and support him.
I have never went to any political event previously in my life but I think this is the right time and Bernie is the right person for me to go show my support.

Dang, Denver, Vegas, Tempe, Tucson are the closest to me and under trumps economy I can afford to commute that far.
Maybe he will add an slc stop later on. Hope so.

As with all things, it is a mixed bag. I do applaud finally going through the government finances to make a sincere effort at eliminating fraud, waste, and abuse. I support forcing immigrants to go through the official channels set up by the Legislative Branch rather than turning a blind eye to our southern border. I'm glad to see someone who isn't obviously senile sitting as a figurehead while unelected mystery men run the most powerful nation on earth. While I am not cheering anyone losing their job, it is a reality that many government departments have needed modernization for a long time and there is far too much redundancy is many of the government's services.

As for the tariffs, no. I'm not happy with them and have become even more opposed as I've learned the numbers were derived from trade imbalances. That is retarded. I had hoped Trump was using them as a lever to get other nations to drop tariffs they have against US goods, but then other nations started dropping those and we hit them with tariffs anyway. That is where I step off the train.

You have an interesting set of priorities. What you call a mixed bag I would call a total failure. The positives you mentioned don’t really impact your life as much as the negative. Like not even close.

How do you weigh this out with yourself exactly? Because what he did was make you think those things are wins, when you end up taking a complete and total loss. Like nuke the economy bad loss.

Is that what you tell your kid when you can’t afford his training anymore?

Are you familiar with the marshmallow test? It is a test to measure a child’s ability to delay gratification. The nature of your argument is to say eating the marshmallow is better than not eating the marshmallow, and you totally ignore down-the-line consequences. All of the things I listed, getting rid of fraud, modernization, reduction of redundancy, etc., have long term benefits.

With the tariffs, I’m not so sure they do have long term benefits. The architect of this idea says they will, and I’m not talking about Trump. He didn’t come up with this idea. Scott Bessant has been pushing it for years. Trump is only the one selling the goodness of tariffs to the American people, and I’m not buying what he’s selling. I'm open to being proven wrong, but my instinct is that free trade is better than taxed trade.

The Rapist went with a liberal coating of orange for his "Liberation day". His hooker wife should get involved ASAP, since if there's one thing she knows it's makeup.
