Game Thread NBA Draft Lottery - May 12, 2025

The only issue i have with this lottery is the Mavs moving up. We were a 50% chance of the 5th pick. Rigged? Nah.

Mavs moving to 1st was a predictable soap box script line. Like a "Days of our lives" ressurect the dead ex-husband and the handsome but provaocstive lost sailor lover who passed in season 4 to bring back someone popular to get the old school fan base that lost interest in the show.

I learned a new word today

That way the worst team still would get the #2 pick

The options were: 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Of those #5 was overwhelmingly most probable.

So, you don’t know how odds works. Makes sense

Well if lottery is restricted to the worst #5 teams fringe playoffs teams are incentivized to tank just to get to the 5th spot.

Of the Jazz's 140 lottery combinations, none of them had a 1? And then they don't draw a 1 in 16 draws?

Gotta stop putting your future success into lottery balls. Better off playing with other teams picks and just building the best team you can with your assets. Sucks that the Jazz have basically crapped away 4 years on the hope of hitting a top 4 pick and they miss out every time.

Man, f*** the Spurs. POS league is pulling all the stops to make them formidable again. It's plainly obvious. How can an effing team have this much luck three straight years moving up like that. Completely BS! Looks like Texas teams having number 1 picks bargain sales lately. What's next? Houston's turn in two years from now?
