2025 Free Agency Thread

I have read it other places, it is funny seeing the number of people talking about the Pacers doing a one year tank. The team that has never tanked and takes pride in that is not going to do it the very year after a game 7 finals run, even if Hali is injured and they lost Turner

Can you trade dead money down the line? I forget. Could the Bucks hypothetically dump the contract dues for the final two years in three years?

I like Turner... I really do. Moving heaven and earth to pair him with Giannis is rough. I think they keep Giannis happy for one more year and he bounces. Bet they preferred nuking their cap over giving up another pick... if they do that too... yowzas.

Im so ****ing confused.

Could the Kings not have traded for Sexton? He's 10x the player Schroeder is for like a million dollars more? How does Ty Jerome get less than Schroeder?
Appears to me Klutch/Sexton wanted Charlotte. He's from that part of the country too (actually Georgia).
Klutch/Clarkson wanted the Knicks.
The Jazz made it happen for them both. That is the most reasonable explanation I can come up with.

There's never any explaining what the Kings do though.

So the Jazz getting Nurkic might turn out to be a smart move
It has been obvious since the trade that big men are in more demand than small guards. It might be that Austin Ainge knows the market better than the geniuses at Jazzfanz.

Or it could be blind luck, who knows?

Kings are just Kangzing right now!!!! Trying to give up Monk for Schroeder on a sign and trade and then paying him that... while having a meh team... that also employs Ellis and Carter... and Lavine and Derozan (for now). Like Schroeder is more PG than Sexton but the quality of player is just so different lol.

Kings are on the everyday call list... Kings, Pels might need to be every hour.

I think it may have been hard for the money to work on a trade.
