Houston's interesting. They blew three top-3 picks on Jalen Green, Jabari Smith and Reed Sheppard. They hit paydirt with Sengun and Thompson. Then they were able to trade for Durant. They need a competent guard. They're a Jrue Holiday away from being a real title threat.

FWIW, Cam Boozer would be able to do a lot of stuff Sengun is doing and is a more natural 4.

Jabari is good. Was quite helpful tonight.
 
Think HOU definitely has a PG problem. Sengun can do a lot of the heavy lifting but they will miss FVV dearly. They have a ton of assets and so much talent….if I were them I wouldn’t wait and I’d make a trade this season. Only so many good KD years left.

Who you targeting though?
 
HOU has all their picks, two additional good picks, and a 2027 swap with BKN. I can see why they’re angling for Giannis/other mega star. But I still think that they shouldn’t toss away this season.

I don't know if the salary works for those types. Like I am sure you could meet the trade requirements but would be A LOT to take on with their salary commitments. That's why I think they may not make a deal.

I could see like if Scottie Pippen Jr. was healthy and the season derails for Memphis. Maybe one of the Jones brothers. I'd call chicago about Ayo, Tre Jones, and even Jevon Carter. Maybe this is the Keon Ellis destination. Not a real pg type but can bring the ball up, shoot and play defense while Sengun and Amen run actions.

Yeah FVV has to be in these deals and I am not sure CJ is a great match to punt on the rest of FVV. He is an interesting name though.
 
Like would the Kings be interested in something around Eason and Ellis. Seconds go somewhere depending on how teams value those guys?
 
I also think Reed will be fine as a regular season minutes eater. Last night's matchup is a rough one for him to have to start the experiment with.
