Game Thread Dec 12, 2025 06:00PM MT: Utah Jazz @ Memphis Grizzlies

Added to Calendar: 12-12-25

Best game of Key’s career? Crazy shot at the end there.

Also, Ja sucks. MEM w/o Edey sucks.
Ja was great for portions of the game.

JJJ was the player that didn't carry their weight. The only time I noticed him on the court was him trying to go at Filipowski.

I would like to tank a bit harder too, but we won because Keyonte George scored 39 against a team that is halfway decent.

The lottery gods will favor the JazZ if y'all stop crying 100% of the time about any win and be thankful for what we are watching out of Keyonte.
Yeah- we are going to be the last one out of the playoffs and win the lottery! Best of all worlds!

Some might think "Ey, what can you do when you have two players that can go 30 any given night against most teams, one of them will cook in each quarter".

Well maybe don't play thru ages old K Love to flip the momentum on third. That's what brought the win really. Key career high and strong third from Lauri is nice but ffs K Love that's not part of the future really hurt the tank
Nah, the win was personally delivered to the Jazz by Morant and his hero ball throughout the game but, especially, in the 4th. What a selfish and dumb player. And I don't think it would be easy for Memphis to pass him to someone else.

I love seeing Key play great and I’m always happy for the players when they get a tough win, but Hendricks plays all those KLove minutes, the Jazz accomplish what they need to accomplish.
I guess it comes down to if you believe having a player of Key's age experience being the man in the clutch and succeeding is valuable or not.

If you don't, then sure.

I believe it matters though. But I do think at some point if Keyonte is proving to be consistent to the point he is consistently driving winning to this extent of absolutely carrying, then yeah, it's time to nerf him a bit with a Hendricks instead of Love.

Memphis is better than the Jazz.

Keyonte just had an insane performance and was hitting tough shots & and 1s all game combined with Love getting hot. Utah loses that game 7/10 times.

It's a testament to how good Keyonte is getting that he can have these games were he is driving winning.
Lol
Memphis is 9th and Utah is 10th
And Memphis worse than their record due to injuries.

Yeah, Keyonte gonna be a stud

We'll be a sh*thole franchise for another 3 years and he'll pack his bags for trying winning something as did Mitchell

Yay
Then stop watching. For real. If you being a happy fan of the Jazz or not is that tied to them winning a ring you are probably going to die miserable.

If we went away from the vets there would be less wins but more to celebrate. If Cody/TH played how Love/Nurk did and we won because of it, I don’t think there would be as much internal conflict going on in the thread.

Truth

Memphis net rating is -1.8 vs Utah @ -7.7

Take your remedial level comparison and go argue with a wall.
Lol at you using numbers for a team that didn't play tonight.
I know how to adjust predictions and expectations when the players who are playing change.

Like if keyonte or Lauri was out tonight then I wouldn't have said the jazz would win.

You might not have known this but Memphis was shorthanded tonight due to injuries.

Lol at vegas having the jazz win total for the season at like 17.
They could hit 17 by the star break.

Yeah.

I used to be a "ring or bust" sports fan, until my favorite NFL team won their first Superbowl. And while it was awesome, it wasn't the ultimate, transcendent experience that I thought it would be.

The real fun was, and continues to be, the day-to-day journey of being a fan. And one of the best moments of being a fan is watching a young player on your team ascend into stardom.

I'm enjoying this season, tank be damned.

Memphis has been shorthanded every night of the season. Even without Edey they are still a better team than the Jazz. Having to have a career night from Keyonte to barely win does not make the Jazz a better team.

After the Saints won the super bowl I quit watching football.

I'm far from a ring or bust kind of fan. I love regular season wins and just making the playoffs gets me off big-time.
But I'm also a fan of doing what makes sense and doing the logical and smart thing and giving away a pick in a pretty loaded draft while still missing the playoffs and being a bad team isn't logical or sensible imo.

I have also loved watching keyonte (and being right about him) tear it up this season.

Tonight they were better. Jazz have 2 all stars to Memphis zero.
I'm sorry I was right and you were wrong. I know how badly that triggers you.
My condolences.
