Al Jefferson to Utah? ...Mark Stein's Twitter reports

Much like David Lee, being forced to play out of position doesn't make you a player of that position. Jefferson is not a C and is a terrible defender. He's everything everyone hates about Boozer but with a worse injury history and a uni-dimensional offensive game.

We get it, you hate the deal, but you need to stop making **** up just to try and make your point sound better. During the last 3 years in Minny, Jefferson played in 85% of possible games. Boozer stint in Utah resulted in Booz playing in 70% of his possible games. So to say he has a "worse" injury history than Boozer is a flat-out lie.

Hack.

If Okur can return to form then the Jazz could be very interesting playing Jefferson, Okur and Milsap together. Let Memo shoot the three and pull his man away from the hoop, Jefferson on the left block and Paul either cutting the basket and just abusing a small forward on the offensive boards. Defenisively I'm not sure how it would work out, but I would love to see a team match up with us doing that.

if we thought that ukraine fart fes was cloggin the lane with his height, our defense automatically gets better, doenst it?

that field goal percentage and shots per game will all change when he comes to the jazz with d-will feeding him and talents around him to complement his low post skills

If Al can seal his post position a bit like Malone did, he's going to get a lot of inside looks and also get some more points at the line. His stats should improve.

If this deal happens then I think it hurts Fes. Millsap and Jefferson is a much better defensive duo than Millsap and Boozer. While not great on defense he averages about a block more per game than Boozer and as has been mentioned previously is much longer. He actually averages a bit more in blocks per game than Millsap does.

Just thinking of an immediate way Jefferson helps us against the Lakers: Obviously, he doesn't do anything for us defensively except for being a little bit longer than Booz, but offensively, he's going to be more of a presence on the block that Booz was. L.A. always had their way in pushing Booz off the block and making him settle for fade-away jumpers. That task just got harder with Jefferson. This will make the Laker bigs work harder under the hoop and could certainly make them pick up a few more fouls along the way. You know the old addage: The more you make a player work on defense, the less effective they are on offense.........
