I along with everyone else have been pushing to have the youngsters get more time. Favors has been bringing it lately, but I see a lot of Favors is god, trade Jefferson, the kid is an allstar, posts. Tell me what dominate big man GSW has? If Favors can do that against Bynum and Gasol that's a different story. Not trying to be a wet blanket but GSW has no bigs.

Agree with the Warrior part. Big guys consistently go off on the W's this year and every year.

I'm pretty sure you meant "carnations".

LOL .. my first thought with 'cornations' was let's not ship Favors off to play for Nebraska, Iowa, or somewhere, prior to seeing him play the Lakers first.

Its not just the numbers dude, its the method and timing. Favors athleticism is nearly off the charts versus Big Al who is nearly off the charts as well, only in the wrong direction. But don't worry, as soon as Big Al comes back Favors will go back to being a youngin who has to prove himself, again, and get 15-16 minutes in which to do it. Our future is clearly with guys who have topped out, like BA, Sap, Raja, and Howard, who can lead us into mediocrity.

His time will come, his time will come.

No Big Al tonight right? So I am interested in how Favors and Kanter do against the Lakers bigs.

While I agree with the OP and am trying to temper my excitement, I think Dutch makes an excellent point by saying that Jefferson (and Millsap?) haven't done squat against the Lakers either. The fact is there aren't a ton of scary bigs out there. Howard. Bynum I guess. The Gasols sort of. That's it to me. And Pau's starting to slide as is someone like Duncan. Our bigs are entering a period when there aren't a lot of them and some who are left will be gone or suck in a few years once they're just 23 or 24.

Griffin's good but I don't consider him "a big." He's a 6'9" PF who's explosive as hell. Similarly, Love is a 6'9" elite power forward and we saw how well Favors and Kanter did against the Twolves the other night so why be scared? Why be pessimistic? Yes, the Lakers bigs are studs and could shut our bigs down. But they do that to just about everyone so it's not a reflection of our young ones as much as it is how good their bigs are.

The best thing this team could do (but won't) is to start Favors/Jefferson and bring Millsap off the bench. I don't know.. I just know we've got a lot of depth upfront. Easily the best PF/C depth in the league.
