What's new

If Gordon would get tossed for fighting back, who is supposed to respond?

How's he getting under their skin, by playing solid ball? I don't see him as a rat or anything.

You don't see what Hayward is saying/doing on the court. If you have ever played basketball, you can really get under players skins in the subtlest way without anyone other than the two of you noticing. Hayward make look like an innocent alter boy, but I assure you he isn't as innocent as he looks.

An example supporting Cy is watch Hayward secure position or something. He is often just a little more physical than he needs to be. Not enough to draw a foul but enough to piss people off.

I do not think that is what Cy is saying. Hayward has a style of play that does get under opponents skin. He makes them lose their cool. That is a good thing. I just want the others to protect him when needed.

Like how Earl went after Dirk for slapping the ball away from Favors.

And got T'd up, and we still lost the game despite the "emotional chemistry". If you want respect in the league you win games.

Yes he did but it was the most recent example I could think of off the top of my head of one Jaz zplayer sticking up for another. What I would prefer is a nice hard, legal, pick. Plenty of legal ways to get the message across.

Gordon should've said, "are hinting that you want me to do that to your diseased *****?"

There is a reason Chris Webber took out John Stockton and there is a reason Affalo and West are going after Hayward.

I missed the first half of the game, I would love to see what Hayward did to provoke it.

Unfortunately I catch almost all the games on the radio. What's he doing? Maybe he is merely sticking up for himself. That would piss West off enough, I'm sure. So if you say Hayward is an instigator, let's hear it. I think he's just a secure kid who doesn't look like a stud, and that passes off his competition.

That may have soemthing to do with it.

There have been times where Hayward is very physical getting position on offense with his man. Being a 6-8 SG (when he plays that position) he is bigger than alot of his defenders. All the little bumps and and touches, the little things add up.

Dirty?

And for a point of reference, Stock was at times a dirty player imo. Hayward not so much.

I don't think Hayward is an innocent as you think. Like I said, these things that happen are small and accumulate over the course of a game, season, and career.

I rewatched the game and Sap set a nice hard pick on West the next time he was on the floor, I didn't mark the time though.
