Marc Stein: Jazz-Warriors discuss pre-Lottery trade (Source says trade "likely")

If GS gets off to a bad start next year what's to stop them from tanking again. They will say to them selves "we did it once we can do it again". The odds aren't in our favor to get the pick if we can get next years pick unprotected we need to seriously consider doing a deal.
 
Getting an unprotected pick next year would be of interest to me also.

I'll go along with whatever you guys and KOC decide.

I would lean towards taking a shot at the 8 this year, knowing that the Jazz would likely eventually get a first rounder , unless they really want someone a lot at 35.

ummmmmmm, actually they only need to tank next year, and then they only owe us two second round picks over the next 3 years. GS has no clue how to win as a team. They only know how to lose games as a team.

It's not misleading, at all, but could be patently incorrect. My understanding is if we don't get the pick this year or next year, then it becomes an automatic two second-rounders in '14 .. which is what I explained. So, like I said, it's not misleading, but could be wrong.

Also, this thread got totally whacky. We've come full-circle like a dozen times.

Just for the record, this was my post at #3 in this thread. A number of people have gotten confused during the course of this thread .. with me being one of them, lol.

Might be true to a point but there are other crappy teams as well. If they have coach and a leadership that was willing to tank the way they did. Why wouldn't they be in the top ten next year as well. Not to mention all the injury prone players they have. They should finish around 8 to 15 next year.

Nope.

Top 7 next year and then top 6 protected in '14. That means they would have to tank for two more years for it to turn into two 2nds.
