What's new

Following potential 2012 draftees

Great the jazz are going to make a trade and draft a player they haven't interviewed. That has bust written all over it.

Also might be why the jazz where hanging around uk asking a lot of questions.

It's a done deal we are drafting all 6 uk players. I don't know how but it will happen.

Why doesn't the nba have a wonderlic (to lazy to check the spelling) test?

What was the last thing that went through the flies mind as it hit your windshield?

His a**

Time for bed say a prayer for my son his temp is 105 degrees. Peace out

Just saying that SVP (Scott Van Pelt is saying - privately that the Jazz and GST have a deal) ....... He's not going public, nor should he ..

Sorry, is GST the same as GSW (warriors) meaning for their pick?

I'm lost lol.

Going back to Reread thread lol.

Yes .. tankers is new for warriors ..

Lmao. Got it.

Whoosh.

So we'd pick 7th. Wonder what we give up or it.

That would be great.

Do they generally wait til draft night to announce, even If it is already agreed on. Why is that if they do?

Posted some of this before but for those that missed it: The jazz can interview many players at the combine, up to 18. They submit a list of players they want to talk with and the NBA makes assignments. I thought the players had to attend the interview with all teams the NBA assigns them or none of the teams the nba assigns.

I remember KOC saying last year that if a team wants to talk with a player that is projected outside of the teams picks range that the interview might still happen if the team can explain how a reasonable trade might be done to draft the players in that range. Last year I think the Jazz were interviewing in the 14-22 range because there was a chance that they would trade down.

Thomas Robinson reportedly measured with a 7'3" wingspan, well ahead of estimates, might be enough to get him selected second.

What incentive does van pelt have to keep "this" quite? He is a reporter after all.

Just a guess: Reporters need to keep good relations with sources. If they ran with every piece of information that they hear, they'd soon have no sources left. Sometimes the source will let them know things they can't broadcast.

This. And well said.

Last night I watched the combine. I have to say that I was underwhelmed by DMiller, QMiller and Royce White. Then I went and check my twitter feed and saw that teams were raving about White. I guess that they saw much more than I did.

White was certainly strong and was able to move people to get closer to the rim but he didn't finish as well as I thought that he would in that setting.

I was also disappointed in PJ3's shot. He couldn't get much to fall when the camera was on him

One last thought. I was very upset that they cut off the centers near the beginning. I wanted to see O'Quinn as well as Leonard, Plumlee and Zeller. Stupid ESPN!
