Jazz-Bulls-GS Trade rumor

If that trade is real there has to be a 2nd move for the Jazz in the works. 2 1st rounders this year and 3 next year? No way Utah keeps that.

I love this trade.

Seeing as we will have three centers, 1 (Al) is obviously going to be traded. Given our now gaping hole at PG, KOc would only pull the trigger if he could get a PG either through FA, or the draft.

Utah takes on huge $$$ contract for 2 late round picks? Ouch, thought the market would be better. Anyway any deal with Jazz and Bulls that doesn't involve Boozer is a NO.

Biedrins has two years left on his ****ty contract.

Even though he still has potential if he can get his head in the game.

Please tell me the last part is sarcasm.

Frankenstein.... I mean Biedrins is ****ing terrible. If there is any truth to this rumor then we better have another trade in mind following it.

Fingers crossed that KOC has something in mind this week. I just can't see the Jazz not having a 1st round pick this year. There needs to be something in the works to get us into the 1st round.

I keep looking at this and wondering where we ship off a big man? If this goes through then we will have Jefferson, Millsap, Favors, Kanter, Beindrins and Evans. If we thought we had a logjam now, imagine what it would be like if the deal goes through. Not to mention that about $41.6 million in salaries would be tied up in those 6.

But in truth I'd rather have Boozer on the court than Biedrens, but I don't pay the salaries.

Rather have Biedrins. Only pay him for two more years, Pay Boozer for 3 and a ton of money.

The Bulls have privately assured Luol Deng that there's "no chance" of a deal sending him to the Warriors, league source tells Y!

Ha

The Bulls have to much love for Deng to send him to Mark Jackson.

In this hypothetical I'd see it as a good thing as it would force KOC's hand in having to move Jefferson.

Also, I don't know what Biedrens' contract is but I think it would make sense for us financially -- we'll need some salary next year, and while in theory we can sign two max guys and another high salary guy, in reality this is unlikely. We'll need salary, but we won't want to lock it up long term. Since Biedrens would only have another year left on his deal, it would work out well with timing in when we're going to have to start giving some guys extensions -- an effective salary bridge, if you will.

I don't mind not having a 1st-rounder. The Jazz need guys who can step in and play NOW. Utah already has a couple of development players in Kanter and Burks, plus a very inconsistent player in Hayward. And Favors, although he should be a starter, still can disappear some games.

I'd rather have KOC bring in some solid veterans. But that doesn't mean players like Bell, J. Howard, etc. If a trade for Jefferson, Harris or even Millsap is made, I want KOC to get a starter in return, not just mid to late picks in the draft where you perhaps get a player like a Ronnie Brewer (who would take a couple of years to develop) or worst case another Snyder or Humphries.

No, I don't have specifics, but there are always teams looking to go with a youth movement, especially as they draft in the lottery and need to clear out veterans to make room for the young guys. But I hope the Biedrins rumor is completely false. His game is completely gone. It would be a huge salary dump on the part of the W's. Jazz need to get a lot more than that.

His problem is effort and commitment. He use to be pretty good, but he got burned out by being on the Warriors and just gave up after he got his big contract.
Is it required for NBA players to lack effort and commitment? It didn't used to be like this, or were we just lucky to have John and Karl for so long?

isn't that what usually happens right before that team in question ships that player to that other team in question?

He makes 9 million a year for the remainder of his contract. I think that fits exactly what you were saying.
