What's new

Legalize It (Colorado just did)

If so than good. At least CO will stop wasting all that money. Wonder if the Feds hit them thru withholding funds and what not.

Full legalization of marijuana. Not just for medical purposes.

Ok.

Amendment 64, if passed which it has been called to do as it now leads with 53.2% of the vote, will permit adults 21 and over to possess an ounce of marijuana without any criminal penalties, and allow adults to grow 3 flowering plants in their house and to purchase small quantities of marijuana at licensed stores in the state.

User that as a fair amount. I wonder how difficult it will to become a "licensed store".

If it's like the medical stores fairly difficult. It requires a significant amount of capital for a couple reasons. The license fee (it's something like $50,000) and the fact that state law requires the stores to grow 75% of the product, which requires renting a warehouse in the Platte Valley and buying a ton of equipment and paying a lot of utilities.

And because cities decide if they want them or not. Denver and Boulder have a ton, while Ft. Collins and the crappy city I live in, Aurora, voted to ban them.
