Following potential 2013 draftees

Every six days or so I like to reiterate that I'd still like to get Anthony Bennett.

He is better than his stats say since conference. But he just does not seem as bawse attitude wise as he did the first 15 games of the season. With that said, he is going to be a good pro someone definitely worth a pick in the range of 4-8.

One thing we would hate here though is his defense. Its atrocious. His defensive stats are al like. Looks good on paper, but has never played system d in his life until now. Findlay just scores like mad.

I think aau and prep academy's are ruining basketball to some extent. Defense is just not taught and the kids just want to score because that's how they get noticed.

You asked him THREE times?????? After the "No Comment" text?

Wow .. that's commitment for ya... Props to you!!

I didn't ask him the same question three times, it was like;

1) Hey, any truth to you maybe heading to the Jazz?
2) Okay .. you think you'll be playing for another team in the near future?
3) OKAY .... at least tell me if CP3 really drinks pee.

No comment and a smiley to all 3.

Excellent report Vermin. Agree.

He's got as many red flags as strengths, imo.. but like ma boi Elroy said, he's gonna make a good pro.

I think he can play defense if he wants to. Yeah, his vid says he's slow to get back on defense, and he loses track of his man. Keep in mind the guy is like 18. We drafted Kanter based on high school and limited national team experience. Bennett has all the tools to be a power-3. He has better feel and handles than Derrick Williams. He should translate to the SF better. Not sure about shooting guard. He's not built for that.

SG is totally laughable. SF is a bit of a stretch, but I could see it .. if he is serious about staying in top shape and becoming unallergic to man defense.

Yes persistence will get you anywhere.

Except this time.

Dude I'm telling you I watch every single game. Unlv alumn and season ticket holder. watched him at Findlay on several occasions. He is a bit lazy, he does not play d and lacks alot of the instincts to do so. I still love him, but it's the truth. Ohhh and he is certainly not a sg. Not in anyone's wildest dreams.

I know I'm late to this, but I'm all in on Oladipo. Highest basement of anyone in the draft. He will be far out of reach, and I would consider burning the #1 on him.

I know. Nutty. Kind of like Oladipo.

Wow. I've liked him a long time, but you've got me beat. #1? I like the guts.

In 2014 I think Khme birch is going to be talked about alot. He is so mature on defense. He has impeccable shot blocking instincts. This is really his first year and he is raw offensively, but he is going to be another unlv lotto pick. No doubt.

You calling my wife a him?

Oladipo is like the Kenneth Faried of SGs. He's got a level of effort and determination that's just unrivaled. He'll make himself a great player.

do you prefer him or porter? Oladipo certainly has all the efficiency and intangibles you could ever ask for. ive come to the conclusion in the unlikely scenario they both fell to the jazz, id take Porter, probably. he doesnt displace hayward, and i believe has much more room for improvement. tho i do think the soldier attitude that Victor carries would be a great addition.

Derrick Williams' efficiency numbers were even better in college but with this guy we wouldn't have to worry about him being a tweener or effort. What we would have to be concerned with is will his shot translate to the NBA (DW's hasn't so far) and playing time should we re-sign Foye. I'll be honest, this guy reminds me of a more awkward Dwayne Wade. I'd go after him, let Foye walk, and we could still bring Hayward off the bench. The question then becomes, what about Burks? Hayward is much better at the 2 than 3, Burks' best position is the 2, and then we'd have this dude too. At 6'5", do we really think he'd be able to play the 3?

WCS

Nice 2nd career start.

We've already established he's an athletic stud at 7'. Tonight he had;
20pts
7rbs
3blks
1stl

8 of 10 shooting .. including 4 shots with the left hand and 4 with the right hand. He's very young, very green, and I bet is going to be very good.

I never got off the bandwagon. He is a member of my dream draft.
