What's new

Jazz @ Oklahoma City | Sunday October 31st @ 5pm

OKC did have a real difficult competition against Pistons. Terrible defense by Pistons on the last position. KD's % fg has been awful and he takes +20 shots per game.

Sounds like he's due for a remarkable performance. I'm hoping for the W but expecting the L. A loss won't worry me too much, I still think the team needs some time to get things going.

I actually think we're a better team than the Thunder, but we're defiantly a better team than the Suns.

We lose, hopefully we stay in the game this time.

I think its funny how worried people get over 2 games when they started off 1-3 last year and still ended up pretty good. ;)

But the Jazz didn't get man handled in the first two games though last year. I honestly believe Utah will suck until December and then will turn it around and be really good

Someone mentioned this a couple of days ago, but when has a team ever really sucked for months only to become "really good" later in the season?

Based on what philisophical concept? They got man handled by houston last year losing by 17 at home in there 3rd game then losing to the horrible timberwolves by 11. We lost to denver who is really good and to phoenix but i say we started off worse last year. We lsot to good teams this year so far.

These first 3 games are really tough. Denver at home with a chip on there shoulder from the playoffs last year. Coming back the next night against the run and gun Suns. Then playing the Thunder at there place. I wasn't expecting the Jazz to be any better than 1 and 2 with all the new faces and a schedule like that. The next 3 games after the Thunder are very winnable games against the Raptors, Warriors and Clips. Then we have that 4 game trip from hell. So our record could end up being 3-7 or 4-6 or even 2-8. After that we have a pretty good schedule up until Christmas trip. So I won't throw away the season until I see there record going into that trip in Dec.

The Jazz were 16-16 before Korver played his first game with the Jazz in the 07/08 season. They went 38 - 12 the rest of the way.

I guess it depends on how we each define "really sucked." I myself wouldn't put a .500 team in that category.

I think its funny how everyone thinks starting out 0-2 is horrible when its an 82 game season. It's not like football where the season is still short. even 0-2 in the nfl isnt horrible.

It's not so much the record as it is the quality of our play in those two losses.
