Be excited if Favors can somehow score 15 points a game on >46% shooting.
This is why I don't know if I would have extended him yet.

I hate saying this, but I'd rather have Big Al scoring 20 and 10 than Favors scoring 15 and 12 with a much lower fg%. 15 pts off 46% fg is 15 shots for 15 pts.
No thank you. Not for 12 million.
I hate Favors if he gets 15 pts off 15 shots. I LOVE Favors if he can get 15 pts off 9-10 shots. HUGE difference. One makes him a steal at 12 million and another makes him a poor man's but at almost the same cost Al Jefferson.

It's much about our guard problem. He's just finisher under the rim when he's passed well, not closer even scorer. He's gotta be involved in PnR and we gotta play up tempo to see his contribution of open court basketball. We've already know his post up or midrange shooting abilities so it's not surprising he's floundering.
I completely agree with this.
Here is the next problem. Favors has seen Big Al dominate the ball. Favors is emulating this so far. What does he do when Burke comes back, and we draft a top 5 pick next year, and suddenly he is our third or fourth option on offense under a new coach with our scoring options being - #1 draft pick, #2 Burke, #3 Hayward, #4 maybe Favors, maybe Kanter?
Is he happy with that?
Doesn't he play for the Hawks now? Am I missing something?
