What's new

Let's show em' how it's done in Detroit tonight

Hopefully the defense improves throughout the season because right now it is absolute garbage.

Detroit's achilles heel is their lack of three-point shooting.

If KCP ever figures his stroke out on a consistent basis, that negates the defence's propensity to help on their three formidable bigs. They become a playoff team in the east in the process.

Exum outplaying Burke is starting to actually become a thing. I think Burke is going to bounce back eventually and start hitting shots, but how long before Exum starts closing games?

Exactly. Our PNR and post defense (outside of Kanter) looks to be pretty strong. Transition defense too. It's our perimeter defense that's screwing us.

our ****ty post-defense is commanding help from our perimeters, which is leaving the perimeter wide-open. We're counting on jennings and KCP missing threes, which won't always work.

really ****ing good question. No idea what is wrong with Burke :'(

Were you watching when Exum was playing? He was dynamite

The thing I like the most about Exum is that he plays to win, and the decisions he makes are clearly done with that in mind. There's no feeling with him that he's looking to "get his", which is definitely what I see with Trey from time to time.

Kanter continues to be the odd-one out with this team. His offense is great, but it's unnecessary to us. We bleed buckets every time he steps onto the court.

My guess is we'll start seeing some changes 10-15 games into the season. Snyder knows that making major changes right now (Booker starting for Kanter; Exum taking a lot more of Burke's minutes, etc) is going to mess with chemistry and (young) player confidence. He's going to wait until there's a larger sample size and more evidence, I'm sure.

Chad Ford has him on his list of ten players most likely to be traded. For whatever that's worth (likely not much.)

Indeed. There are possessions where Trey looks like he has decided to shoot before he makes the play. However, I think trey makes the right play more often than not, he just kinda sucks.

Truthfully, I haven't watched one second of a live game, but from what I've seen, they're having Kanter hedge on PnR D. If true, why in THE **** are they not dropping him back to the free-throw line like his ****ing hero BIG AL?

Exum scores 5 points 2 rebs 2 assists in 6 minutes and gets benched for the last 10 minutes?

Willing to bet that is not a good thing for Trey. Looks like he was given a chance to show something and didn't. I'll bet Exum gets a legit shot in the second half.

Trey Burke shot 38% last season, now 23-of-70 so far this season. He's young, but we're not far from the point where this is a problem.

Lowe's watching the game; feeling similar to us.
