Can't say I follow any of your post, but I would suggest that when someone makes additions or modifications to someone's post and then "quotes" it as belonging entirely to the original poster, it should be an infraction. I'm not talking about the little joke we sometimes have of changing one word, putting it in red font and then saying "fixed" underneath. That is always fairly obvious. In your case, it was not. We were not at all sure what was your original post (which I think you deleted).

In fact, I find it kind of dangerous you can "quote" someone and completely change the content. Not sure it can be avoided, but IMO it should be an infractionable act to intentionally misquote someone. Obviously would be wrong to retroactively change the rules, but perhaps going forward? Just my 2 cents.

I actually agree with this, even though I've found this whole thing ridiculous and way overblown. Can't believe that it's STILL going strong.
