Now you gun apologists will come with bunch of excuses why somebody needs a gun in the middle of the day while shopping in Walmart in Hayden , Idaho.
I know, I know, your rights to carry guns. Whatever. Mom paid the price for exactly that type of stupid mentality. At least I hope toddler is to young to be traumatized by all this experience. Hopefully nobody will tell him how his mom died when he will ask one day.

Few thoughts.

Tragic loss due to carelesness.
No need to justify or explain their right to you or anyone else, no matter how much you hate it.
Keep on hating.

Every 2 year old needs a gun, especially in Idaho. Deal with it.

See, that's were we differ. I think it is stupidity. There is not a single justifiable reason for young woman to carry loaded gun in Walmart in Hayden ( been there, very safe and quiet place I think I may have even been to that Walmart as well ). It is wrong mentality, education, tradition, laws and general approach to guns that results in these numerous gun related death accidents in USA. Yet you keep thinking it is carelessness. Until you Americans change your mentality when it comes to guns it will keep happening.

I agree. Strongly.

In your opinion. That is all this boils down to.

I am for sensible, in my opinion, requirements to own a gun and carry.

Such as gun safety classes and linking mental health records to background checks.

Maybe she had been raped before, and feared for her life, and maybe she was receiving death threats from a redneck ex who threatened to steal her child and kill her dog and park a car in her yard, so she felt she would be safer with a means to protect herself. Without knowing what was going on in her life and in her head how you can make blanket judgements against everyone simply boggles the mind.

Why would he stop now?

You never know when or where a deranged person will commit a mass shooting. It can happen anywhere.

I personally will carry a gun anywhere I damn well please. And it will never ever accidentally kill me or anyone else, because I am a responsible concealed carrier.
This is a tragic accident/situation that could have been prevented. I feel badly for this lady, her family, and anyone else affected....but intelligence and common sense prevent most of these kinds of accidents. And yes, sometimes there are just freak accidents.
The number of accidental shooting deaths is infinitesimal when compared with the number of people who own/carry guns.
