He's literally a consensus top 10pick (and honestly, a lot closer to a consensus top 5 than 10) in a strong draft, so either he's more than a Royce O'Neal, or this draft isn't that strong.

That's kind of where I"m at now. Granted, I'd prefer the Jazz have the choice of the 3 and (obviously) would have rather seen them get 1 or 2, but it does feel like there's a big drop off past these 5. Of course, that can be said every year and then a 6-12 pick becomes a much better pick.

Yeah, I didn't know of the NBA has a trade value chart like the NFL does, but that would be a bad NFL trade, let alone a sport where higher picks are at a much bigger premium.

I don't think it was rigged at all. I do think the Jazz are cursed when it comes to the lottery, given they've never moved up ever, and this feels like the right result given that tanking isn't historically in this team's DNA. Oh well, hopefully the 5th pick is good.

Is Johnson really part of the consensus top 5? Not that I take mock drafts as gospel, but every one I've seen has Flagg/Harper/Ace/VJ in the top 4, but 5th is all over the place.
