So far his on man defense from 15 ft and beyond has shown tremendous improvement from last year, and his effort has shown it too. Last year his opponent shot a few % higher than league average and this year it is -1.5ish. His inside d #s are way worse. Likely because not having Kessler behind...

IIRC in the 90s it was around 54/55. I was curious a couple years ago and during prime Stockton years he was averaging around 65% which was top 10-15 all time I think. I wish he would have shot the ball more.

Maybe I watched a different game. You posted Key scored 31 with Thompson as his primary defender. He scored on a backdoor cut on Thompson and off a screen where Thompson got switched away and Key scored on Stewart in the paint. Those are the only two scoring possession I recall where Key scored...

Thompson only played 16 minutes. Got hit in the face and never came back.

I just want the young players to get a lot of burn and opportunities to make mistakes and grow on offense. I also want more accountability on defense. The lack of communications and rotations is abysmal.
