I’ve loved Exum so far.The prince that was promised.

Mitchell made some great passes, I still believe in the kid. But we are so crisp when we run our offense, we generate such good looks. Mitchell needs to just trust the system and play within the offense.

Many, many positives to take from this game.

With Sef, and our coaching staff, I’m no longer worried about Golden State. If you need 40 minutes of KD a night to hang in there with us, I like our chances. Look how gassed he and Steph looked at the end— both were missing shots they made earlier in the game— the only problem was that in return we were just making bad plays on offence.

Mitchell went for the game-ender, and missed. No one is a harsher critic on him than he himself.

Our coaching staff has so much to work with on how to game-plan against this team, because we 100% are going to see this team in the playoffs. And for them to frankly play at their best, and to need a Jerebko tip-in to win? I’m not the least bit concerned.

We made their defence look like total trash, with our best player being cold for most of the game.

Not the least bit concerned. Rematch will be fun.

Remember how the Jazz probably could’ve signed a player for peanuts that has legit size at the 4 who came into the league as a PG, became a dead-eye shooter, and tends to get under the skin of opposing players for peanuts but didn’t?

That was cool. Looking forward to Favors looking really good for flashes, mostly when he’s the 5 and playing against bottom-20 teams.

Lastly, I think Jerebko just made a terrific play. I’m happy he’ll probably get a ring this year.
Who is it you speak of?

You do know that Curry got hot when Exum came in the game in the 3rd quarter and struggled to score on Rubio, right?

He only scored twice on Exum in the 3rd and both were defended well. One was a contested step back midrange jumper and another was a 10 foot floater from the baseline. The other baskets he scored were a layup in transition against Crowder and an open 3 after a long offensive rebound/scramble.

I'm still confused as to how a guy like Draymond Green doesn't get ejected after all of the scuffles he instigated. Not to mention you can see him screaming at the refs arguing with them multiple times, I thought the league put an emphasis on not doing that years ago? Star treatment indeed but all we had to do at the end was simply box out for the victory.

Rudy instigated at least once last night. Draymond pushed him as a result. But it was clear Rudy instigated.

Boxing out is what cost the Jazz the victory. Rudy literally boxed out Jonas right into the basketball.

I expected O'Neal to be much improved this year offensively but so far it almost looks like he's regressed on that end of the floor.

Random thoughts in no particular order:
8. We got outrebounded by 5. Shouldn't happen given our size. And that’s ultimately why Jerebko was able to score the winning basket.
The Jazz didnt get out rebounded. Both teams had the same defensive rebound percentage. I dont know how many times i have to remind people, but rebound totals arent as important as rebound percentages.

Warriors missed 38 FGA's and the Jazz missed 49. That's 11 more defensive rebounding opportunities for the Warriors.

He hasnt regressed. Dear lord. It's been two games and his role isnt to do stuff offensively. He's a defensive specialist.

*And O'Neale had a made 3 called off by an offensive foul under the basket and an assist called off by a charge last night*

Such a fun game!! Watched it at a bar in Minneapolis and it really got the randos going. Some of 'em thought it was a playoff game based on the level of intensity lol. We're definitely going to go deep in the playoffs this year and this loss will do nothing but help and motivate the team. Liked what I saw from Exum and Burks - love those guys. Mitchell is off to a bad start and is chucking a bit too much but he'll calm down for sure under Quin's watch. It's gonna be a very fun season!

7/23 in this game. yuck

A little misleading but he wasn’t hitting on his stuff in the paint or the midrange.

3 of those were desperation shots... 1 with shot clock close to zero that got blocked back to him... then he threw it back up... plus the one with .3 seconds left.

Safest way to get the first loss of the season. A confidence-building way. I'm excited to watch how they play when DM breaks his sophomore wall.

acording to the ratings, we have the 4th best offense thus far, but our defense has been lackluster, probably due to pace. I think we can look forward to a lot of positive things here. I think the jazz will be fine, but we're going to be in alot of wars this year, dont expect us to walk into any of the top4seeds.
