Game 28: Jazz @ Thunder Playoff Rematch #1 6pm MT Time

At some point, it's worth mentioning how Rudy got screwed by the refs this game. It seems they really do have it out for him.

Yup. I already mentioned it

Exum isn't really the problem. He's just not the solution either.

He actually is a potential solution.
He can beat his man off the dribble and penetrate.
He can finish at the rim and get to the ft line.
He is capable of making the right pass in the paint.
He is capable of stopping penetration and giving Rudy a friggin break back there.

He just needs 40 ****ing games and get the same leash as the 'trusted ones'.

He really could be a solution.
Either way, you all know that he has to be given this chance at some point. DL has invested too much not too.

I still believe Jazz will be a top 5 seed. But at what point would the FO decide to get off Rubio and Favors and start Exum. 12 games below 500 in January?

I don’t get why Snyder hasn’t figured out yet that Gobert and Favours on the floor doesn’t work ..

Favs has had some great moments playing the 5 , we look so much better when he plays the pick and roll...

Let him come off the bench .

I’d start Sepha at the 4 ... can hit the 3 , play great D on the perimeter and his passing is quite good ...

Crowder is a chucker ... who is best used in energy situations

Have you seen Favors stats at the 5 this year? They suck.

I’m not sure I disagree with the rest.

You didn’t see that game the other night against Capela ? 24/10 ... when he played the 5 ?

He is a great back up 5 when we play small ball ... he has no place out there with Rudy on the floor ...

So we’re going to use one game rather than a season’s worth of work to decide all this?

My point is , when Rudy and favs aren’t on the floor together at the same time the jazz look so much better ..

I think at the moment we are a contradiction... synder wants us to play fast pace , yet we have 2 slow bigs , jingles is slow ... and the thunder game you could see the pressure they put on our back court ...

I’m aussie , and have watched a lot of exum even before he went to Utah ...I’d love to see him play some 3... just let the guy run , run the floor , Ricky will find you , he isn’t being used right

And our record sucks.

Ship out Rubio or Favors. Pretty simple solution. I'm not here to hurt feelings, but we have to improve. Those two are solid. We need better than solid.

There is not a trade fairy that will grant your wish for better players in a trade. We are what we are as currently constructed. Everyone is begging for a trade but the reality is no one is giving up something for nothing, which is essentially what we have to offer. A trade for the purpose of a trade gains us nothing.

Rubio to Phoenix makes perfect sense. They are desperate for a PG and want to dump Ariza for something they can use. We aren't sold on Rubio being our long term PG.

What does that mean for us? Do we want Ariza? Do we want a 3rd team? We have until Saturday to figure something out. Keep playing Rubio 30 minutes per night until then.

We need to hit our open 3s. That's it. This includes Exum.

When that starts happening we will win a lot of games and look great again. Just like what happened last season.

Make Jazz great again by hitting open 3s!

You are aware his advanced stats have been incredible this year...

You are aware that I’ve been one of his bigger supporters this year, am only talking about Favors as a 5, and that Andy Larsen or one of those other Utahr media wannabes sent out a tweet in the last two days showing how he had a -7.9 rtg or something with him on the floor as a 5 this season.

And what, we trot out Exum for 30 minutes a night and expect him to run an offense? He can’t even run himself.

I heard somewhere that they aren't interested in a project PG... said they aren't interested in Fultz... so i don't think they share your sentiment that it makes perfect sense.

Our best hope imo is Atlanta for Lin. They have tons of space and believe in their player development. He could theoretically fit with Trae Young.

No. We take Rubio's minutes and disperse them. Mitchell starts at PG with Korver at SG.

Minutes breakdown for Rubio's 30 mpg:

Korver plus 7 minutes (17 to 24)
Exum plus 5 minutes (15 to 20)
Neto plus 3 minutes (11 to 14)
Grayson plus 5 minutes (5 to 10)
O'Neale plus 7 minutes (17 to 24)
Mitchell plus 2 minutes (32 to 35)

These are averages. Exum, Grayson, and Mitchell get a chance to prove themselves before the deadline. We make a decision at that time. If we desperately need another PG, we will know then instead of waiting on summer.
