What's new

Non jazz 2019 playoff discussion.

LMAO Jeff Van Gundy calling out Bill Russell's BOGUS *** MVP on Air. He is the best in the biz.

"Could you imagine the hyperventilation we'd be going thru, if a guy who averaged 50 didnt win the MVP. Think about what we go thru when one guy hits 50 in any night!"

Okc has by far the worst arena. That stupid cop noise every single time the opponent fouls has to be the worst in the history of arena sounds. They've used it for years and it's so bad.

Here are some raw stats for all the starting centers in the playoffs

Al horford is averaging 7 points and 10 rebounds on 38% from the field and 25% from three

Myles Turner is averaging 6.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game on 38.5% from the field and 28.6% from three.

Enes kanter is averaging 13 and 11.5 on 50% from the field and zero percent from three.

Marc gasol is averaging 11 and 4.5 in 57 percent and 55 percent

Nikola vucevic is averaging 8.5 and 7 on 28.6% from the field and 25% from three

Steven Adams is averaging 16.5 and 9 on 68% from the field

Joel embiid is averaging 22.5 and 12.5 per game on 48% from the field and zero percent from three

Jarret Allen is averaging 8.7 and 5.7 on 61.5% shooting

Nikola jokic is averaging 17.7 and 11.7 on 50% from the field and 42% from three (and 9.7 assists!)

Jakob puetl is averaging 7 and 7 on 60% from the field and zero percent from 3.

Andrew bogut is averaging 4.7 and 8 on 75% from the field

Iviva zubac is averaging 6.7 and 7 on 56% from the field

Andre Drummond is averaging 15 and 14 on 50% from the field and zero percent from 3.

Brook Lopez is averaging 11 and 4.5 on 47% from the field and 37% from 3

Boogie is averaging 5.5 and 5.5 on 31% from the field and 33% from 3.

Gobert 16.5 and 12 on 69% shooting.

So out of 17 centers in these playoffs, if you account for defense as well, I would say that gobert is top 3. Embiid (who I already thought is better) would be 1st imo, jokic (who Rudy owns when they play each other) would be 2nd, and gobert 3rd.

Not too shabby.

Malone would look awful in this series with the way our perimeter players have played and Quin’s Defensive strategy. Hell, not even prime shaq could turn Ricky into a decent PG.

We have a million problems on our team. Rudy isn’t one of them. Our Pg play, turnovers, inability to create off the dribble, and outside shooting are far greater concerns.

You just can’t win against most playoff teams in today’s nba with our lack of athleticism and shooting.

Westbrook is a hard guy to like. Trash talk is one thing, he really needs Jingles to slap him back to earth.

Then again it's also depressing because we should be the 3 seed and up in the series against the Spurs right now.

No wonder your depressed. You just think about what might have been. Move on with your Damn life.

Lol. I accepted the reality that we were going lose our series to the Rockets while you are still living in a pretend happy land where some magical fairy is going to save our season. And you're going to take a holier-than-thou approach by telling me I need to move on? Okay....

Umm no. I didn't say I'm living in a fantasy land. I said don't live in a world of what ifs. That is the pretend happy land.

Live now! Good or bad!

Just offering some unsolicited advice to a fellow jazz fan who is down on his luck.

XOXO

i don’t get how sixers series just played their 4th game and our series haven’t started 3rd game yet lol

I'm totally down for headbands, but these karate kid, trendy, headbands are a bit much for me

The new ones u see, to me, look more comfortable.. lighter/more aerodynamic.

YOu should only be allowed to wear one if your fast tho, some heavyset player sucking wind with that is gonna look ridiculous.

Teams kicking themselves for passing up on Lopez in the summer

I'm not really sure thats how it went tbh. Pretty sure the Bucks tried their damndest to secure his services.

The idiot lakers fans blaming him for last years team obviously had the wrong scapegoat tho.

Brook is a victim of being held hostage by some incompetent front offices for so long, way longer than most NBA careers last. It's only right he finally got to a winner before his skills diminished. and he's shooting like 75% from 2pt range this season!!!!!!!!

Remember that game where he got all those blocks vs Utah right away? sheesh.

I always remember a game when Rudy first took the starting job where Lopez just demolished him (and favors) to the tune of 20something 1st half points with rebs and blocks and it was SUPER ugly, couldnt even double-team him. He can play. being legit 7' 275lbs with skills can take u far, LOL.

Was always a HUGE brook lopez believer. always thought Robin was trash compared to Brook and to this day I hold a minor grudge against the Knicks for drafting Gallinari instead of Brook, who'd have been a better pick and used to drop 20/10 on the knicks every game for so many years in a row. Then right look what the Knicks do next year, they take Jordan Hill 1 pick before DEMAR ****IN DEROZAN, "R U SERIOUS" - Dickie V voice... Those 2 botched picks could've saved the Knicks I truly believe it.

Schedule Makers were counting on Utah putting up a good fight. How can ya blame them after last years 1st rd matchup?

Small market in Milwaukee+one yr 2.5mil. doesn't matter how hard they tried. He’d sign with anyone else easily if being offered double the money. But no team did so.

The Nets were foolish to think this Jared Dudley bigman gimmick was gonna pay dividends. Woulda love to have seen this series without that...

Because essentially, lets call a spade a spade -- the tactic is completely reliant on ref bail outs... **** that

I dont really believe that man. Brook Lopez is far from broke I assure you. He's very smart and near $120MM career earnings.

This guy was Shareef Abdur-Rahiim Status for all those years I can't even believe i gotta explain this, basically banished to the nether realm in NBA terms
. He finally gets outa the swamp known as New Jersey and lands in the 2017-2018 edition of modern lakers dumpster fires.
