Does Quin Survive?

Lol we were top 3 in offense and defense.

See? That's all on Quin's brilliant coaching.

No other coach can lead a team rostered with Bojan, Clarkson, Niang, Conley and Mitchell to a top 3 defense in the league. FO didn't have the term "defense" in mind when they brought those guys in. But Quin somehow made it work.

I don't know what's worse. You thinking Quin is the second coming of Christ or oneye's hatred for Don.

Nah, if we can get a competent GM to bring in the right set of players for a coach to succeed and Quin still chokes, then he can go. But until then, the way I see it, Quin is already making the most out of this flawed roster given to him.

It's not his fault for not being able to turn Doke into the next Rudy, or making Oni the next Royce.

Quin has an MBA and a law degree, but for a really smart guy, he can appear to be really dumb and stupid. Maybe it's all that lying he did at Missouri and the coddling of domestic violence perpetrators at the same place and they lying about that he was never warned about the kid by authorities in Idaho when there was a recording of it.

Lakers fan here. I was rooting for the Jazz to win it all after my team got eliminated.

Snyder has to go. Losing to the Clippers when up 2 games to zip AND with Kawhi out for the last two games? That's on the coach.
You are aware that Conley missed the first 5 games and DM was playing on one leg for most of the series.

I think Snyder is in the hot seat this next year. After two early playoff exits, I would think that patience is wearing thin. Ultimately, it may depend on what Spida thinks… for better or worse, seems like a coach’s career depends a lot on what the star player thinks can be accomplished with him. I think Q’s inability to make needed adjustments this series might’ve hurt trust that players have in him.
It's the Pete Carroll effect on the players psyche after the botched Superbowl. My guess is Snyder is losing the locker room

And who came up with the idea of building a winning system around Gobert? Look, Gobert was just one of those end of bench "scrubs" who never see the floor when Corbin was in charge. Speaking of burying talents.
Lol. I think you are just trolling. Good job at fooling me for so long.

So has anyone mentioned that Rick ****ing Carlisle is available? The more I think about this - even considering the paper-thin roster Quin was given - it is unforgivable how he coached the last two games. Tim Legler came up with a potentially-valid answer on the spot.

I’m fine keeping Quin, but to act like he’s been free of problems would be grossly inaccurate.

I am not opposed to change, especially right now as some great coaches are available. A change here may build upon Quin's work with this squad.

But I think Quin is more than capable to be a championship coach and the issues about adjustments are way overblown. If he leaves, some top team will snag him immediately.

It could also backfire, though. The players believe in him.

Do the players believe in him? My sense has been the opposite. He might be losing them with these early playoff exists.

Nate McMillan is still only an interim coach. Maybe he wants to be an actual head coach again. Throw some money at him

Coach Q needs a stronger assistant coach. Kokoskov's absence is obvious. Perhaps Utah can get him back from Fenerbahce.
Or Carlisle, who can use a gap year or two as an assistant coach. He & Quin would be a perfect duo.
Carlisle may well the best in-game decision making coach in the league. Q's certainly not. He's still the best coach in the league though.

They said something along the lines of "we couldn't fulfill the adjustments". It may be PR talk more than anything but they always talk about him positively.
