I know there are at least a few PC gamers on Jazzfanz. I've always been a lone gamer. I've been recruited into clans a number of times but I'm generally not committed enough and don't want to voice chat with pre-teens enough to really get into it.

So tonight after my 8th or 9th garbage Among Us lobby I wondered if it would be possible to have a very very very very casual Jazzfanz PC gaming group that sometimes got together to play various online PC games. Commitment level would be low. We'd schedule some online get togethers, voice chat would be optional, participation would be optional. There would be no expectation of skill or competitiveness, just show up and have fun.

This idea just struck me and I immediately posted it so who knows if it goes anywhere or what it will be if it happens at all, but just thought I'd throw it out there.

I imagine focus will be on either very cheap or free to play games so that people can join in. If we establish a group we can figure out other stuff from there.

I’d rather see poker nights come back.

Yeah, I would too, tbh. My house is a ****ing disaster. You could probably put me in an episode of hoarders. Absolute embarrassment. I'm in no position to have people here. Maybe someday.

I can't do poker night because I'm not in Utah, so I'm down for a gaming group. There are several basic FPS games that are easy to get into. We play among us in my family, where we have 8 in the lobby (me, wife, 4 kids, 1 SIL, 1 granddaughter) and that is pretty fun. So I'm in.

I don't play a lot of PC games anymore. If there is a crossover game people want to play that is compatible with the PS5 or Series X I might join.

I only game at night.

Your first step towards redemption should be deleting Among Us.

So yeah not hard to make a discord server.

I decided to get really super creative with it and call it Gameface's Jazzfanz Server.

I will send the link in a PM to anyone interested.

I'm all for ideas on how to go about any of this. I've never organized anything like this.

Hopefully we get a few more who are interested.

I'm willing to try the games that people want to play even if I haven't played them.

I don't think everyone who participates necessarily needs to be a jazzfanz poster, especially if it's a friend of a jazzfanz poster. That's something we can all figure out.

I think we need to find games most would want to play, and times. Then maybe get a few of us willing to "run" the game. That would be the only person really committed at that point. Everyone else can play as they want to.

A weekly among us game might be fun.

yeah it's super casual

I actually only started playing it a few weeks ago after the major update. I've never played it without engineers and shapeshifters. I probably saw an announcement of the update and played it for the first time.

I'm surprised by how many say they hate being an imposter. I absolutely live for that. Playing as crew is just filler for the times I get to be an imposter.

I'm kind of interested depending on the time and the game. Living in a time zone 14 hours different from most of you might be a problem. It also depends on the game. I've tried Among us once on my phone but it wasn't very interesting, but maybe I didn't give it a fair chance

Among us is definitely better with people you know.

So anyone following along, we have a nice group forming. Even if you're not a frequent poster but think you might be interested just go for it!

And even if you don't like me as a poster, don't let that stop you either. You're still 100% welcome to join. You can either post your interest in this thread or PM me and I'll send you the discord link.
