Dude says Charlotte wants to make a move for an All-Star big man and he thinks Gobert is their 1st choice.

Says they want to unload Hayward while doing it and would probably have to include both picks.

Dont think PJ is going to be a part of that.

Ahahaha. No Deal! Haywards contract is neutral at best. They think they can get Gobert with a negative contract and two mid picks they can kick rocks.

Is Hayward like absolutely broken or something? I know he gets injured often now, but it seems like when he plays he still really damn good.
He ended the season with a severe sprain in an ankle that he tried to come back from. Then it was revealed there was a bone chip that was an issue. Its worrisome because of his past for sure. I largely agree with you... I didn't see his contract as this super negative thing. They are selling him as damaged goods and he could end up being healthy to start the season and increasing his value a lot.

They may know more than we do obviously.

Unless there is something completely wrong I'm sure we could flip him to NY for Fournier and one of their 10M expiring guys... or to SA for McDermott and Richardson... maybe Atlanta with Capela and something (if they get another center or give the keys to Okongwu). Maybe Detroit for Olynyk and they eat the rest with cap space.

Or maybe the LA thing gets real desperate during the season and you flip Gordon for Westbrook and a couple picks.

He's a great buy low candidate and I really don't care about the PR tbh... that stuff dies after his first good home game.

Rehab his value under Snyder then trade him on his contract year to a contender who needs to dump bad salary for first and assets.

I do agree about Hayward being a buy low possibility. And I wouldn’t even mind having him on the jazz in fact I would love a healthy Gordon if we get to keep Rudy and Don too. If we can send other players for Hayward straight up no picks or young talent from Charlotte I’d be down. Just don’t wanna trade Rudy for Gordon.

Listened to locked on Hornets… saw an article on the Charlotte observer (didn’t read it because it was sub only) about the Hornets should aggressively pursue Rudy… I get the feeling they would be all in and give up a ton. The locked on Hornets guy threw out that he wouldn’t do Bridges and the two firsts… was shocked it came out of his mouth.

Anyway… a Rudy to Charlotte deal seems to have a lot of market support. Probably depends on what coach they get as well.

Maybe we could throw in Quin for another first.

I wonder how he would feel about trading for Rudy? He did coach sort of a poor mans Rudy in Capella for a few years in Houston.
Once sixers and Doc drop their staring contest Dantoni will be Phillys head coach… it’s coming.

Doc can’t quit or he misses out on 30M… Philly doesn’t want to pay him 30M to play golf. It ends when the Lakers hire Doc and he is traded or they mutually agree to end the contract.

Mike has already hired a RE agent.

They love Bridges and plan to give him a near-max extension. But maybe we can ask for an extra pick or two.

I’d be fine with just subbing Rozier in for Hayward and maybe stealing Mcdaniels.

Think about what we can forward over to Portland with one of Charlotte's picks to move up to #7. Player X + 15 = 7. If we could get Jerami Grant from Detroit, that would do it (though in that scenario I think we just keep Grant).

I would just pick at 13 and 15… not looking to do deals to get stuff to use to move up. That’s a lot of work… and I’m not overwhelmed with what is there at 7 vs 15
