MITCHELL has to go, he will always create drama and his body will fall apart like deron williams because he falls on drives every time, he also wants out deep down and will cause a fuss to get that acomplished. keep gobert and get some dogs that can stay in front of their man

There are more social media posts laughing at Rudy being toyed with by Brunson than anything about Don.

But yeah, Don had a few bad games in the series. It's hard to be the only guy on the team who can create offense. Too bad the big man is worthless at offense.

I’ll refer you to the countless posts of Don just standing around on defense. Show me countless videos of 7ft players toying with Rudy and we can talk, but when Rudy has to guard the entire team, that’s something else. Brunson should run circles around Rudy. That’s a given, but Don? What’s his excuse?

Yep. Rudy guards the entire team. Y'all actually believe that. That's the sad part.

Just because we funnel everything to his dominant comfort zone doesn't mean he is guarding the whole team. It means he's guarding a location. A location he is spectacular at guarding. It's too bad contenders don't need the paint area to win.

If I had to trade one it would be Don, mostly because the return would be greater, and I'm not convinced he wants to be here in 3 years anyway. Plus it would be nice to see Rudy retire in a Jazz uniform.

That said I doubt the org thinks the same way I do, and honestly, I can see their POV. Also, I like Mitchell as well so if he's the one to stay I'll be happy for him and the team. Still, it does seem like one has to go. There's too much personality conflict between the two, and their attempts to dispel it haven't been all that convincing.

Will Lopo ever stop white knighting for Donovan MItchell on Jazzfanz?

Dude has to have the most bad faith arguments on Jazzfanz when it comes to Rudy. He has had the concept of what happened on defense against the Jazz the last two post-season explained to him countless times with countless video examples, and he still reverts back to "wHY wAS MAxi KlEIbER OPen, Cuuz rUDy GobERt?"

I'm not trying to be ablest, but maybe Lopo is mentally handicapped and we should be nicer to him.

Option 3 should be:

Trade Quin

Option 4 should be:

Burn the house down. Trade the lot of them.

I choose option 4.
I agree. Trade them all. I think Quin has lost them. They just don’t vibe as a team. Joe leaving killed the locker room. Keep the young guys, Butler, etc… but get rid of these guys. It’s just not working. Rudy, DM, Conley, Bojan, JC, — that gives you a boatload of #1 picks and/or young players. Keep Quin. Start over from scratch before it’s too late. The time is now. Oh but we’ve got the All Star game next year. Never mind. I swear I get so frustrated with the Jazz at times.

Brunson? You mean the guy that Mitchell was supposed to guard?

There is a reason he was attacking Gobert on a regular basis - Mitchell could not stay in front of a chair...

And way to go with social media popularity as rock solid proof of basketball skill. I suppose Ainge can swing a trade for Kim Kardashian to be our new starting center...

No!!! No!! No!!! You idiot!!! When I say he guards the entire team I mean he tries because no one else stays in front of their man. How do you think Mann went off for 37 or Kleber went off shooting 8-12 in threes in one game. He’s the one guy on this team that actually gives a damn 100% of the time. He doesn’t want to guard the entire team, he’s one man. No one can do that successfully but he has to cause Don can’t or won’t play a lick of defense you dumb stupid idiot!!!! That’s what I mean by Gobert defends the entire team.

Truth to the matter is neither one of them can be the star for a championship team. Each has too many limitations and that won’t change. So both sides of the argument are technically right. Time to cash in is now otherwise we will be mediocre for years to come. Their contracts will be even less attractive in a years time. We should close the window and move forward without either one of them.

I can see that argument, especially if someone offers a player like Banchero for Mitchell.

Not sure if Banchero is a needle mover either.

This is taking a bit of a punt, but potentially trying to identify which team/s will take the biggest slides next year and trying to get some high draft capital in next years draft and a chance at no. 1 pick. There is your Giannis / Luka type generational talent. And also get some additional draft capital in future drafts. Not the safest of plans and very risky but for a team like Utah I don’t see any other option. No one is sending you a current superstar in todays league for either one of them and holding onto both or either for that matter is not wise.

Although not scientific, anybody else a little surprised to see 24-4 to let Donovan go? I am surprised it is that heavily slanted. Especially when you know Lopoo voted with all four of his accounts.

Yeah, it surprises me, but people may be assuming that he's requested a trade. Whereas, Rudy probably hasn't.

I think Banchero is closer to being a franchise guy than either Rudy or Donovan. Banchero should be a walking 23/10/5 in today's league. He's closer to being unstoppable offensively than Donovan is when the chips are down. He'd also be under team control for 7 years at least.

It also cannot be overstated how great it would be to have All Star-caliber players on rookie-scale. It means that the team is competitive and still has cap space to make a variety of moves to finish the roster.
