Lauri was great on him, as good as you could hope. Derozan would sauce Vando in any way he wanted. At least with Lauri he had to shoot over something.
You apparently didn’t see the play right after the TO where Laurie was fronting him and DeRozan waltzed in for a layup like Laurie was stuck in quicksand. Pretty sure Vando could’ve done better.

Look up where Vanderbilt ranks on that ladder. I'll give you a hint, it's near dead-last.

And it passes the eye test. Vanderbilt is the most overrated defender I've seen in a long-time. Complete non-factor in his individual defense. He does provide nice team defense and general chaos generation., but his man D is bad.

Im not going to lose any sleep over it one way or another. Have a great night Cy.

I just want to praise Sexton tonight. The Jazz had a chance to comeback and win if they just played smart/heady basketball and Sexton commits a take foul in the final mintues then dribbles off his foot trying to do score by himself. Got to love the dedication of a Tank Commander. He has really helped the future of this team tonight.
I don't think it is possible for a poster to be more annoying than you. Don't you get tired of being wrong all time?

Jazz lost tonight because Clarkson shot 3-15. Jazz just don't have much margin for error. If he shoots 7-15 with a couple more 3s, it's a different game.
Malik didn't shoot well either 4/13, 3/11 from 3. 11 pts. We need these 2 to score more. We are not a defensive team. We win by out shooting the other team. Jazz offense is usually spread. 5-6 guys can give us double figures every game. Tonight only 4.

I'm still not on team tank, but if we cannot improve our defense big time during this home stretch I might convert.

Right now it feels like we need too many things to go our way offensively to win. We look great on offense but we cannot expect to compensate allowing 120+ every night.

Derozan got under him on that play and gave him a slight hook to get past. It happens, players get beat no matter how good you play. Overall he played pretty solid defense on him and keep in mind they made a ****ing awful call against Lauri so he had to change up his defense to avoid that garbage.

No question about the awful call. To avoid suspicion all challenges need to go to the league office or better yet fed through a computer program.

I know you are tryin to bait here, but that was a dumb play by him and he knew right away. But it only gave up 2 points which we were giving up regardless on the open fast break. The bigger issue was the bad turnover. His play cost us 15-20 seconds. Sexton was a big part of pushing the comeback along with KO until KO fell apart.

Another game we lost on the FT line (among a few reasons). Not only were calls not going our way much to get there but we couldnt make them.

I still dont get why that elbow to Lauri wasnt called. The ref said that the other team called a timeout first. But I am glancing at the rules and that is still a position to be able to review.

Section II—Procedure to Initiate the Challenge
a. To initiate a Challenge, the challenging team must take the following steps in sequence: (1)The challenging team must call a legal timeout immediately after the call in question (unless a mandatory timeout or timeout called by the opposing team is already underway);
(2) The challenging team’s head coach must simultaneously signal for a Challenge by utilizing the instant replay signal (i.e., twirling an index finger) toward the game official(s) during the same interaction with the game official(s) in which the timeout was called or, if the timeout was called by a player on the challenging team, the challenging team’s head coach must simultaneously signal for the Challenge by utilizing the instant replay signal toward the game officials as the game official is notifying the scorekeeper of the timeout

I don't follow college basketball much, but I expect our pick won't be before late lotto. Anybody you like at that position?

An additional question. Do we lose our pick at some point?
We don’t lose it outright, but we miss a shot at a lottery pick if we make the playoffs (our own pick only). We’re also rooting for Wolves, Sixers, Nets to finish out of the playoffs because of two picks acquired in trades.

An interesting quote from Dok in Andy Larsen's Tripple Team article. Dok was asked what Hardy has told him to focus on throughout the season in terms of developing his game, this was his answer.

“I mean, he really doesn’t talk to me about nothing. Like, we don’t talk. But for me, it’s come in every day, do my workout, practice and all that stuff, and whatever happens, happens.”

Andy also said there seems to be a disconnect between the other players, coaches and Dok, says it feels like he's not part of the group.

Agreed, but if you're an alpha and have an advantage you go with it. Especially when you're playing well and nothing else is working.
You’re right on the money regarding alphas IMO. Clarkson and Laurie are too damn nice, both deferring to guys particularly Beasley all the time. Beasley, beyond the three doesn’t really have the skill set. KO is clutch as **** but he’s not a lead dog either. That leaves Sexton and maybe THT who’s been slumping his *** off of late. But it has to come from and be reinforced by the coach. Otherwise it’s just a free for all every night like it has been. Or every play has to come from the bench like in the old days.
