I want to see the clip again. I remember him being inarticulate, but not nefarious. That’s why I think we need to see the clip again. I watched it at the time. I remember the medias’ disingenuous spin. But Trump often puts things clumsily, so he gives the media fodder for their dishonest spin. Das fo sho

I keep meaning to watch the game but last I checked they’re down 18 points. Which makes this stupid thread more fun (which isn’t saying much).

Ok, I’m starting the 3rd Q now, hoping for a comeback.

100%. Lots of people tried their best to save lives in a very ****** situation. Then got tons of blame and criticism and pushback for doing their best to save lives in a ****** situation.

Next time they should just do nothing and see if they solves everything. I see so many people saying government should just stay out of our lives. Would be so sad to see what would happen if those people were given their wish.
Good luck home schooling your kids and fixing your own roads and building your own parks and living up your own garbages and making your own heat and electricity and water and defending your own country and taking care of your own legal issues etc etc etc.

It's no wonder our government isn't better. If you are a smart, successful, hard working, great leader then why the **** would you ever get into government/politics. Everyone hates you no matter what you do or how hard you try. **** that.

If you read my posts about politics they are almost all critical of one dude. Because that dude is the worst of the worst and a piece of ****. Has been for decades. Been a crook pretty much all his life.

I try to give most politicians a break though. Same with cops. Same with teachers. Their jobs suck *** and they get hella hate.

i really don't know what you're trying to say. Do you mean like in Sweden where they very clearly said take your own precautions and we aren't going to intervene ?? Which btw has proved to be a far more successful outcome than crazy lockdowns etc

Here as a few for ya. Also covers him talking about getting a UV light inside the body.

He is basically just throwing stupid stuff out there. Nothing nefarious though. I don't think he wanted to hurt anyone or anything. He was doing his best (which isn't very good since he is an idiotic who is also a narcissist who thinks he knows more about everything than everyone) like everyone else with a very tough situation.

Ya exactly. Just tell us all to do whatever we want and whatever we think is best in regards to the virus. Even though we know nothing about it.

Maybe that would have been better for COVID. IDK. Maybe if another pandemic hits that's what should be done.

I personally think that experts should do what they can to slow or stop the spread and find treatments that may work. I think experts should study the virus and pass on recommendations on what we should be doing even if those recommendations are unpopular like vaccines, masks, social distancing, shutdowns etc.

That's what I think but I could be wrong. Maybe it's best to just let the average joes figure things out for themselves and do whatever they want.

The medical professionals and experts and decision makers certainly didn't get much thanks so if I were them next time I might just shut on my hands or keep any info or advice to myself.

Thanks man. Yeah, he’s obviously not authoritative here - evidenced by his continual deferring to Dr. Birx, checking with her on all this stuff he acknowledges he’s not an expert on. Not nefarious. Deferential even. So why did the media try to spin it like this (see pic):

Not sure I'm a winner. That's like saying Shaq is a winner when he plays basketball with first graders. It's tough to take someone seriously who claims Trump was being inarticulate and that the press was spinning words that came directly from his mouth. How do you spin such nonsense? And here you are sticking up for some of the dumbest things Trump's ever said. Low-level trolling under the guise of making an actual argument. So I'll poke a little fun at you if that's what you're after.

He did suggest injecting disinfectant.
Did he look at a doctor while suggesting it? Sure. Did he say we might have doctor's look into it? Sure.
He did actually suggest that injecting disinfectant into the body could work against covid though. Him. Trump. Nobody else said that. No doctor or medical professional said that.


Like if trump thinks that might work then maybe talk about that idea with medical professionals off camera. They would tell him that it's a horrible and stupid idea. And then he wouldn't say it to the entire country (or maybe he still would). Just really really dumb.
