Simone is playing much better for detroit than he was for the jazz. Almost all his numbers are better accross the board.
Playing 5 more minutes per game, shooting much better from the field, better from 3, getting to the line more, more assists, more steals, less turnovers, and way more points. Even if you look at per 36 (taking away the more minutes advantage in detroit) he is still getting to the line more, getting more assists, more steals, less turnovers, and way more points (higher volume of attempts too) while being more efficient.
He has really stepped up in detroit. Probably gonna get paid nicely.

He is definitely in for a big payday. I'm guessing somewhere in the 4yr 60-70mil range.

We shall see but I’d guess 4/40-4/60 is the range. The best offer will come from Detroit so who knows… they gave Bagley 3/36 and Monty a billion dollars so could get wild.

I wouldn't be surprised to see OKC throw a pretty good offer at him but I think the Pistons probably match anything.

Maybe... they are at the point where they need to watch the budget a little.

They won't go crazy and throw out a huge contract but I fully expect them to spend this offseason knowing that they have 2 years to work with before Chet and Williams extensions will kick in. They will be one of the championship favorites over the next 2 years and I expect them to maximize that opportunity. I also think they move Giddey rather than extending him within the next year.

Imo it's what happens when his restraints are removed. By all accounts the coaches there love him and he has a green light to play as he chooses. Makes a huge difference in confidence. I wish we had kept him. Every contender needs players like that.

Hes playing basically the exact same quality as he was with the Jazz starting in December. He just has a higher volume of looks because he is on a worse team that has less scorers then the Jazz.

Also less turnovers, more steals, more aggressive (more free throws), and better efficiency to go along with the higher volume of minutes and touches/shots.
 
If the KAT injury is more the 9-12 month variety than the 3-6 month variety it is pretty harmful for them next year. Next year was the year that budget cuts may come… and if KATs trade value is low then the other options will hurt more. New owners are lined up to be pretty deep into the tax with only tough ways to cut salary.

Woj is saying he might not miss anytime. Didnt use the word "tear" like Shams did.

The Jazz hot streak was tied to Simone getting minutes and starting. He didn't have any real holes in his game other than his first year with the Jazz was flat due to his injury.

We might regret trading him but he you have to make tough and even dumb choices to fulfill the bigger picture. This one may haunt us in some respects.

I just want to win and only do building with picks we already have. I think there is big value in that. We are never going to have a Wemby fall into our lap. Just go for it on blind faith and build it up like crazy while we still have Lauri.
