I think KAT and Lauri make a great combo. Add in an improved Kendricks and that is a scary front court.

With the cap space we have at the moment, we only would have to move Clarkson for KAT for the trade to be legal.
 
No to KAT, unless we trade away Lauri.

You dont want to tie up somewhere around 100M on two bigs who are mainly offensive ceiling raisers. If he and Lauri would be your two bigs you give up too much switchability on the perimeter without getting elite rim protection in return.
 
It depends on the cost. He is pretty under rated especially on this board. He has also matured a lot and played decent defense this year. He fits well next to Lauri and would compliment him as well as fitting his timeline.

I dont really see anything Minny wants from us so it would need other teams involved.

Something like Kessler, Clarkson and Sensabaugh would give them three cheap options while shedding a ton of salary. I guess it would be very hard to sell this to the fans, though, and I am far from sure that I think we should do it.
 
I think anytime you ask a question on if we should be interested in a player that acquisition price matters. I think you need to set a price to answer this question.
 
I like KAT but it isn't the direction that we should be moving. We need to focus on not skipping steps and rebuilding the correct way and getting a top 5 pick in next years draft while developing our youngsters.
 
Minnesota wasn't significantly worse when KAT was out with injury this year, which should tell you enough about his impact on winning.

This makes no sense. Its not about how you build or whether you skip steps or not... its about what the final product looks like.

Now I still dont like KAT, but if there was a chance to get Giannis, Embiid or Luka for instance, you do what you can to get him. **** the steps.

Well we were specifically talking about KAT so it's stupid to mention those guys. You don't skip steps for KAT. You do skip steps for Luka. You don't skip steps for Giannis or Embiid because we don't have enough talent right now to pay the kings ransom that they would cost and still build a championship caliber team. Luka and Lauri work together while Lauri and Giannis or Embiid not so much in my opinion.

That is the key question. I think he and Lauri would be great together and I would definitely pursue it if I were the Jazz. My guess is that the Pups will be looking for more than he is worth.

Lol. Read your post again. You even said you like KAT but it was the direction that was the problem. Thats why it made no sense.

Now you just invalidated the second sentence of your post by saying you'd go after Luka.

You are seriously reaching. Yeah I like KAT but he isn't an elite player so bringing him in takes us to a lower tier playoff team. Not the direction we should be going. Luka is a bonafide superstar that I think would be a very good fit with Lauri. It isn't that hard to understand. The difference between KAT and Luka is massive.
 
If we move Lauri and bring in KAT to put up 35ppg surrounded by our super young guys. We might have some fun, and still be absolutely terrible.
