2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

Kentucky guards tend to over perform. So maybe there's some willingness to turn a blind eye to Shep but then again he is good guard and there are some hints.

You're right. Maybe he's a high-level primary distributor in the NBA, like a Steve Nash, and he's just done a good job of hiding it through HS and college.

If you think you have anything substantive to contribute, feel free.
Yeah, I never said anything about him being Nash. I just asked how much lead experience he had and was hoping for an educated comment, not someone who just saw some highlight videos and guessed what happened during the 95% of the game not shown.

I do think Topic has special talents, and he's huge. I dont really care if his defense is bad, just being positionally tall/long is good enough.

I also want to love Sheppard/Dillingham/McCain, but not being small is important. I know you shouldnt pass on obviously good players just because they are a couple inches shorter than ideal, but it really matters.

I would pick up Ulrich with the second rounder. Give him a year or two to develop. Same logic with Cody Williams, need time to develop play all the rookies so that the Jazz aren't winning next year.

Also Reed Sheppard and Castle would need time to develop too so I would be tempted to pick them too. No immediate impact guys unless it is an unbelievable value move.
