Man, as a Rudy fan this is rough to watch. Never seen him be this bad on offense, and that's saying a lot.
He touches the ball so rarely these days that I think he was almost surprised to have such an easy look.Lmao, rudy just missed the easiest bunny of his life.
I don’t really care whether you take me seriously or not. But that’s not my argument at all. My argument is:
1. We knew we’d be bad for a few years to collect talent (tank).
2. For inexplicable reasons, we failed to commit fully to the tank until year 3.
3. Throughout this experience our scouting and drafting has been poor. The goal of the last 3 years was to collect talent that could one day be used to: (a) replace the aged star talent we sent packing or (b) be used as trade bait to for established stars. We’ve failed at both.
I look at our roster and it’s astonishing to see how little we’ve accomplished. And just because we “tanked well” enough this year doesn’t justify the years prior where we either weren’t poor enough to earn a top pick or drafted poorly (Cody Williams) despite having a good lotto pick.
The limbo we were stuck in for two years makes zero sense unless you are drinking serious kool-aid. There was no reason to trade both Donny and Rudy, BUT if you were going to do it, then go all in on the blow up. We putzed around for 2 years. As far as the trades themselves, getting some draft picks in trades is fine but it is much smarter to get some young talent in return instead of just picks.I don’t really care whether you take me seriously or not.
