Some jaw-dropping reaches, board is all over the place. Shaq going at 18 - after Shai and John Stockton - is perhaps the wildest thing I’ve seen in any of these drafts (I understand how the mechanics of the draft can lead to weird outcomes).Explain.
Well it’s not that crazy other than Shaq going 18. I was getting a little excited that he might fall to me but figured @Elizah Huge would get. Him. I’m not sure why Eliza traded him for Stockton. Not sure this is Domino’s to lose though. Have you seen @Coach Ellis team? But this draft is a little more crazy because some young current players are being drafted way higher since I added a 20-25 era. Guys like Dominique Wilkins Alonzo morning, Moses Malone, and a few others went much lower than they usually do.Some jaw-dropping reaches, board is all over the place. This competition has been Domino’s to lose since he got Durant and Shaq to start. Will be interesting to see how everything unfolds.
I love when that happens. I’m waiting to see if my last picks end up that way. There were two other guys I had on my shortlist - I’m hoping at least one of them falls to me.Sidney moncreif
almost took him over Mitch Richmond so really glad to get him here
Steve Nash // Cade Cunningham
Mitch Richmond // Sidney Moncrief
KD
AD
Shaq // Bill Walton

I’m trying a different approach this year. Chemistry with Bird, smart, footwork. He’s a good player but unselfishness and not needing touches is pure fiction. This is the guy for which the term “black hole” was coined.

It did but it’s not why Shaq dropped to #18. That was weird. But guys like morning Wilkins and Moses dropping is a direct result of the 20’s era.The 20’s decade changes things.
AMEN THOMPSON? Sorry, had to mention one by name. Absolutely stunning. Some jaw-dropping reaches, board is all over the place. The 2020 - 2025 era was slim pickings to begin with. And it had to be one of your first 6 picks.AMEN THOMPSON? Sorry, had to mention one by name. Absolutely stunning.
This is exactly why I knew I was going to take Anthony Edwards early if I could. I feel like my bench is stronger because I got a really solid pick out of that time frame. The 2020 - 2025 era was slim pickings to begin with. And it had to be one of your first 6 picks.

Your boy Shaq is criminally underrated in the GOAT conversation. Just like Steph ushered in the "small-ball" era, Shaq ushered in the "big man" era.
All due respect to Kobe but the reason the early 2000's Lakers were a dynasty was the big guy.
Also a slew of bigs in the 60’s and 70’s and 80’s as well. Shaq definitely didn’t usher in the era of the big guys. The 90s Hakeem, Duncan, Admiral, Ewing, Morning.
Not sure there was a shift to great bigs in the 00s.
