I know that feeling well, my dad died just over 3 years ago. My brother and I were there for pretty much the last 2 or 3 weeks, he was obsessively listening to violin concertos, Modern Jazz Quartet, and Tom Lehrer, trying to calm himself down. His heart was just stopping, there's no other way to put it.
