Kessler vs Clingan is always fun to watch. Also, they are pretty big across multiple positions: it would be fun to see the Jazz finally playing a team that is not tiny and not old.

Last season we split both home and away series against them, Two losses came by 2 points, and one win came in OT while the outlier was us blowing them out by 42 points. So I expect a close game.

I haven't watched Blazers much this year but at least in theory Yang provides them with some extra size so they may match up better against us than they did last year. However seeing he has only averaged 6.3 minutes per game thus far makes me think he may not be a factor and our size may still be an issue for them even without Nurk.

Their main weapon against us (and others) has been to pressure the lead ball handler, attack passing lanes and force turnovers in general... but we have improved on that front this year a lot (Keyonte in particular).

Statistical gimmie would be to say that they should win the TO battle and FB points and we are gonna win OREB and 2CP columns.. If the margins are similar on those areas then this comes down more to which team scores more efficiently in regular half-court offense, and there advantage should be ours since the game is played in SLC and I doubt their half-court offense has been rolling way better than ours so far.

Yang sucks right now. Can't really play without fouling. They throw him out there just to get some XP, but I'm guessing when William a gets healthy he plays and Gang goes to the G

Also worth noting that teams that play like the Blazers last year (hard nosed super aggressive defense) often also die by the sword if the refs are whistle-happy. I dont know anything about any NBA refs, so would not know if the crew in our game against them is of that type.

I kind of feel like the Jazz and the Blazers are about on the same level, which is bad for the tank but shows that our development is really good considering we have been stingy with using our resources. I'd certainly rather be in our shoes than theirs going forward.

Just learning Scoot is out with a hamstring, haven't followed the league as closely this year.

I think it would still break for Scoot overwhelmingly, but curious what GMs would choose if they could either have Scoot or Keyonte now that they are both starting year 3

Jazz will lose I think. Jrue and Camara gonna provide a lot of ball pressure and I am not convinced we handle it well. Kinda throws the timing and positioning of the half court sets even if they don't turn us over a bunch.
