I think over the long run Cody being in the rotation is a net negative for the team, but he provided exactly what the Jazz needed to get back in the game

Cody needs to figure out how to score when he doesn't have an open lane to the rim. He needs to hit 3PAs and have a counter when he gets closed out on. Cody's normally pretty good in transition. He's pretty fast and finishes well if there isn't a big body in front of him.

The Blazers won because they had Jrue Holiday. His combination of offense, defense, experience and leadership is really rare. Jrue was by far the best star player that the Jazz faced this season. And they still almost won.
