Walter Clayton Jr. Hype Thread

When the team is on the road and they have a day off, some of the youngins probably go partying. I wonder what the older guys do? You know, Lauri, Nurk, Love, Walt?

I'll bet that if you knew, you'd find a way to complain about it.

I mean, it's pretty obvious you'd use any sort of detail like this to further the wild narratives you have on certain players.

I think Walt, Cody and Tay Henny need some Stars love to show some game.
It can't be bad, but i don't think any of Williams or Handricks have system related problems or repetition needs.
May be Clayton could benefit just by playing consisten time for a while.

The joke was that Walt is one of the older guys on the team. He's 22.

But, you know, it's ok you didn't get it. It's not that important.

Looking at colliers stats compared to his rookie season and he is putting up pretty great numbers in the small sample size. His shooting efficiency is great but very low volume. Assists are up. Turnovers down (slightly). Scoring up.
Minutes are basically identical.

Points last year at 8.7
Points this year at 10.7

eFG last year was 45.9%
This season so far is at 61.1%

Last year assists at 6.3
This year at 7.2

Rebounds are exactly the same at 3.3

Probably another player benefitting from the team actually trying to win.

Or just such a small sample size that it means nothing at all. Hope he isn't hurt after that play last night.
and benefitting from not having clarkson sharing the backcourt with them. clarkson was a scourge on the development of the young guards.

Bro you need to own the reputation you've made. Years of not being intentionally funny is one of your many suboptimal characteristics. I read your **** when I'm in the mood to laugh at someone who's completely out of control. That's it.

Fun fact, he’s #1 in on ball percentage and #1 in potential assists per/100.

Key and Collier are really dominating the ball without many secondary ball handlers on roster.

Very strange rookie season for WCJ. He's better in pretty much every aspect of basketball than most thought he would be, but he the one thing he was supposed to do well, just hasn't been there. Shooting 30% from three on the season and is 2 for his last 21 from distance - dude is taking 3pt shooting tips from Collier at this point.

he's shooting 95% from the FT line, so it's not as if he forgot how to shoot. hopefully just needs time to adjust to the distance and if he can get to 37/38% from there, he's going to be very good.

I would be really surprised if he doesn't eventually settle into being at least a high 30% 3pt shooter. He has the shooting stroke for it and as we improve as a team over the next few years he should see better looks.

Right now his ballhandling is pretty bad and that holds him back more than anything
