I think he is more in the tank era of jazz basketball.
Like if the jazz were trying to win games and had kessler or someone good playing center rather than love then I bet no one would want Hendricks to play the 5.
I think y'all just stuck in the bitch about anything era and have no concept of actual player development outside of play player all minutes

I don't know what the exact mix is, but the idea that playing vets has no benefit to the development of young players (even if their minutes are lessened because of it) is wild.

We know every season the Jazz gradually play younger and younger as the season goes, so just calm your ****

I think we're really overstating the effect that these different development situations have. But if there is a strong effect, I have no idea why playing Hendricks at "5" should be considered some off limits thing. Seriously though. Whatever side you're on it's missing the forest for the trees. Thinking Love is going to make or break another players development (in either direction) is ridiculous.

One thing we can all agree on is that what the jazz are doing defensively is working really well.
So we should not even suggest the thought of trying something that hasnt been tried already on a sports message board. Wouldn't want to hurt the jazz amazing defensive stats.

Hendricks would have more viable minutes at Center than 6’8” Kevin love with his 12” vertical now.
Love and Nurk do a lot of the things Hardy wants Centers to do, especially with screens and playmaking. Niether are the future, but if the young guys want to be future Jazz bigs, they will incorporate the stuff that Love and Nurk do well into their games. Flip can do some of it, but has only shown it against lesser teams and players. It's OK he's young yet and a project.

Is there a young player on the Jazz right now that would have developed better under the Washington Wizards model? Most of you would already have cut half of them by their second season. A lot of you would have traded Keyonte for a very late first just last year.

Hardy has done enough to earn my trust, at least for now.

Hendricks played a season high 27 minutes and Flip got 35.

I just don’t think Love getting two whole minutes more than Hendricks, who is still working his way back to being confident in his body and comfortable on the court, is worth giving two ***** about to be honest.

The only thing I bitch about is watching 4 years of Hardy playing meaningless washed veterans big minutes over young guys that the Jazz need to develop & then winning too many games.

I still wake up in a panic cold sweat from having to watch Horton-Tucker start games & play big minutes over young guys.
Man, what the hell are you talking about? THT was one of the “young guys,” and he started a whopping 30 games in the two years he was here.
