The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

Sometimes people talk about the little things that don't show up in a box score. I think it can be applied in both a positive and negative way.

What does Phoenix do if they aren't even competitive at all in this series?

Mitchell had a huge offensive burden on that team though. His usage% was 28.3% , Keyonte had a usage% of 22.4%. People sometimes forget how inefficient Donovan was his early in his career, his efg% was only 54% compared to George's 53%. I wonder if it was less concerning back then because...

    2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

Right now I think my draft strategy for the Jazz would be to pick Castle or the best wing available with our first pick and take two upperclassmen with our late picks.

    2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

I tried putting together an updated big board for this draft, and decided that it's impossible. Nothing was really making sense as far as why one guy was ahead of another guy. The problem I'm having is the deeper I get in to this draft, the less things make sense.

The Official We Must Draft Cody Williams Thread!

I think he's so long and so young that the fact he can do some ball handling and seems to have some touch, you just hope that he continues to improve into something more. You can't plan on that though, and if all he turns in to is a very long defender who doesn't hurt your offense, then that is...

    2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

I tried to find our full team history on coin flips and couldn't find anything. Ben Anderson has an article with our history since 2010 and we are 3-7. That is an 11% chance of that happening.

    2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

I tried to look it up. I think they are currently in the playoffs, so it will depend on how far they go. It looks like they are the top ranked team, so they could still have quite a few games left.

Do you know how many more games they have left? Would love to get some data on him.

    2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

I'm not concerned at all about Sheppard's passing. He seems to process the game at such a high level, I don't think it will take him long to adjust to a primary facilitator role if that's what he was asked to do. He might not ever be a guy who can break down a defense off the drive, but I...

    2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

Holmes, Jones, Edey, and Carter were all extremely productive and depending where drafted could be huge steals. My bet is on Carter as the steal of the draft. I think he has a defined role in the NBA that should translate. He's going to be an absolute pest on defense and was one of the best...

Dillon Jones is 4th in ppg, 5th in FTA, 3rd in RPG, 4th in APG, and 4th in SPG. Dillon Jones only shoots 32.4% from 3, but shoots 85.7% from the line.

I found this website to compare stats for the draft prospects: https://basketball.realgm.com/nba/draft/prospects/stats I'll just point out that Devin Carter is 9th in PPG, 5th in 3PM, 13th in FTA, 8th in RPG, 5th in SPG, 1st in BPG for a guard.

One of the super impressive things about Cason's defense is he very rarely fouls on the perimeter. He's able to make tight contests without fouling, which I'm guessing is rare for a rookie. OKC has two of the top 20 perimeter defenders in Wallace and Dort, that's a huge luxury.

The Official We Must Draft Cody Williams Thread!

Just like most prospects in this draft, Williams requires some imagination, but I think he's as good of a gamble as almost anyone.

    2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

Wallace and Black were/are better perimeter defenders, but Castle is more switchable. Castle is bigger and a better ball handler than those two, and because of that he has higher upside, imo. The best perimeter defender in this draft is Devin Carter.

The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

I think I'm missing some context on what is being discussed, but I would guess Sacramento is a buyer in the off season rather than a seller. I'm not sure what kind of assets they have, but I think they more likely to go all in than blow it up.

    Finnisher or Limmiter

I just want the Jazz to get good players who are complementary to each other. That's all I'm personally worried about right now.

    Buckle up.

LOL, I was trying to find a seinfield GIF to post on the no Plan is the Plan, but wasn't able to find something and got distracted. The No Plan is the Plan definitely reminds me of "the show about nothing." I don't distrust everything DA says, and I'm not sure it's that confusing either. What...
