Whoa there, there is nothing about Fears that suggests "Elite 3 level scoring." Come on. Possible 3 level scoring, possibly, not probably, and certainly not elite. A probable outcome for him as a scorer is closer to Keyonte George, who may be an as good or better facilitator.

To be fair, Collier should have been 8-11 in his draft. If people are that hungry for him at 5, we need to find a way to short that stock for more value.

6'2" scoring guards are like the Nissan Altimas of NBA players. If you really need one you can find one and they generally come pretty cheap. There is no reason to spend a top 5 pick on one unless they have legit point guard skills too.

Jermaine O'Neal was putrid his first 4 seasons until he came around and became a very good player after he left Portland for Indiana. Portland fans were vicious towards him because they figured they had wasted a high pick on a bum. Dude just needed to grow into his body.

My dream is that we trade Lauri to get 3, draft Tre, trade back for assets with Washington, get Kon, use Washington assets plus Sexton, plus 21 ( if we still have it) or other assets to get up high enough for Demin. Keep George, keep Collins, roll out and play basketball with what we have.

There is no way this is a buyout unless George nullifies his contract, which he wouldn't do.

However, if we did the trade with Philly that got us the 3 and the 5, we took Tre at 3 and VJ came off the board at 4. I would at least stop and think about Kon at 5. Still probably go with Ace, but Kon covers so many holes. . .

I'd rather have Kon than Fears and I don't think we should draft Kon.

I mean if two players are on the same tier, I'm drafting the guy I have more intel on 100% of the time as long as the intel says they are worth the pick. Why would you do otherwise?

If he has anything at all left on the tank a PG, Sexton, Kessler, Collins lineup could be a play-in team in the East.

He's a 21 year old hitting 42% from 3 at 5 attempts a game. There are like 3 guys in this year's lottery that will ever do that. People who just want to give Brice away are morons.

I don't care about the 21st pick except that we use it to move up to the mid to late lottery using other assets like the Lakers pick. I like the players there a whole lot better than what we can get at 21. I feel like giving up the 21st and the Lakers pick is the equivalent of getting a 3 year...

Then Philly should have gotten the 2nd pick. They did not. Taking on a broken player for a very good player is worth a lot more than moving up 2 spots for a player level we could get at 5. I'd struggle with giving up the 21st. More draft capitol is a non-starter.
