IMO - Bailey's ballhandling isn't so bad to the point where I don't think he can tighten it up and eventually create his own offense in the NBA. There aren't many 6'10" guys who come into league with plus-handles at the NBA level and his overall "shot-making" repertoire is quite advanced.
He'd...

Will never forget that day. I flew to Vegas to watch the Pac 12 tournament with my dad. After we leave the gate - but before we take off - I see on Twitter the tournament would be...
I am inclined to agree. With respect to SGA, Jokic would get my MVP vote, and it's hard to argue he wasn't the most valuable player after that Nuggets title run. He's a whisper away from winning 5 straight.
IMO - people are a tad too enamored with Collier around here. Would love to be proven wrong long-term and will happily eat crow if so.
The assist #’s and his ability to get to the rim / create for others jump off the screen. But I’ll wait until the shooting improves to at least a respectable...
Congrats on spending a lot of time researching that post just to “prove somebody wrong” on a message board.
To be clear - I am not saying I would bet on all 5 turning into high-impact players in the NBA. To your point, busts are inevitable. But looking at each player individually? I’d bet on...
Of course, a top 5 finish is no guarantee of getting a bona-fide #1 guy on a championship team.
But in this year's draft, IMO there's a clear-cut top 5, all of whom I think will turn into high-impact guys and probably would have gone #1 last year. Flagg is in his own tier.
The way I look at...
Flip shooting 40% from deep over the long-term would be a huge deal. Long-term he would pair really nicely with Kessler as part of a 3-4 man front-court rotation.
I didn't love the pick on draft night (the value was clear, I just don't like Dukies on principle) but hard to argue he doesn't look...
Let me ask a question of the board:
At the #4 spot, there seems to be a clear preference for VJ Edgecombe vs. Tre Johnson. Curious to know why that is?
VJ's athletic tools are clear but Tre is no slouch as an athlete and has ideal length / measurables for a 2-guard, and his offensive...
Count me in the "don't believe in Malauch yet" camp.
Meaningful minutes at Duke is nothing to sneeze at but he strikes me as ~2 years away from NBA rotational minutes on a bad team.
I miss the big man era, though and love long / disruptive bigs so I hope he proves me wrong.
Some interesting takes in that draft.
I understand salivating over Malauch's physical tools...but taking him at #5 ahead of Tre Johnson would be a headscratcher.
Text from my Mavs fan buddy - LOL. Hard to disagree.
"All Nico had to do was nothing. Just do nothing and we are a top 5 team with a chance to go back to the Finals. Instead he did all of this. Screwed us this year, next year, and long-term. It might be the worst trade in NBA history."
Gotta be rock bottom for the Mavericks - right? What else could go wrong here? Luka scores 150 tonight?
We'll see how Luka's career shakes out but this is an early contender for worst trade in NBA history.
I hear you on the MPJ piece and not being able to facilitate. Ace gets the ball and is clearly thinking "score." But he doesn't strike me as the un-serious type. He goes really hard. If anything might need to rein in the emotions a bit (3 technicals this year, lol).
