    Locke opinion discussion

David Locke and Tony Jones are class acts. They maybe aren't the very best in the league - but they have to be in the top ten percent, at the very least anyone would admit they are in the top half. It could be a lot worse.

Which active former Jazz player would you most like to see come back?

Write-in votes include: Jae Crowder, Grayson Allen, Alec Burks, Dante Exum, and Raul Neto. The former Jazz-men would probably be a playoff team in the East. C- Enes Kanter PF - Jae Crowder, Paul Millsap, Trey Lyles SF - Gordon Hayward, Kyle Korver, CJ Miles SG - Wes Matthews, Alec Burks...

Which active former Jazz player would you most like to see come back?

I think Derrick Favors might have won this hands down before his signing. What about now? Would any of these guys help us? Since the Jazz are heck-bent on signing guys that they are familiar with and who know the team and system - which one of these would you like to see the front office take a...

Which five-man combo would you rather see at the end of a game?

Well, the combo I would like to see was not a voting option. This seems to happen to me everywhere.

Which five-man combo would you rather see at the end of a game?

If you put your 5 best players on the floor to finish the game, that could be: Mitchell, Clarkson, Ingles, Bogdanovic, Gobert I don't think Clarkson was better than Conley last season, but this season he might pass him. Also 6'5" vs 6'1" could make a difference on both ends.

How much better are the jazz?

You brought up a bunch of good points infection - and I agree your roster is better on paper. That being said, it's been reported the Jazz pursued the route they did because they estimate that cohesiveness is going to be more important in this COVID season - much like it was during the bubble...

Should the Jazz start Georges Niang?

Brendan Taz Cannon @jazzwithtaz Zach Lowe and Kevin Pelton also agree that the Jazz should start Georges Niang in place of Bojan when league action returns (per Lowe Post Podcast) Quote Tweet Brendan Taz Cannon @jazzwithtaz · May 29 David Locke suggests that when the Jazz resume, they...

Jazz national televised games - all four of them.

Yes and no. We had 17 nationally televised games in the 18-19 season. 16 last season. 4 is relatively a new low.

Jazz national televised games - all four of them.

It's 4. Far be it for me to tell the NBA what to do - but I'd think you'd want to highlight the kid who just had a couple of 50 point games in the best 7 game series of last year's playoffs. Apparently the league thinks viewers want to watch James Harden shoot free throws. This does make it...

    The Don donates $12 million

It sounds like a very well thought out gift, and with him knowing teacher's involved - the money is going to where it can make the biggest difference in people's lives - through improving their K-12 education. Donovan always surprises with his wisdom and maturity - far beyond his years. This is...

    Niang island

He can't guard a 3 legged dog to save his life, but he sure can hit from outside. I like that he took it personally, it means he cares about his role on the team and he wants those minutes. Not everyone can be as chill as Boris Diaw.

Tough Day To Be In Law Enforcement

    1. Carjacking is generally defined as a violent crime against a person firstly and a property crime secondly. It usually involves the use of some form of weapon (usually a firearm) and force against unsuspecting victims. 2. As far as I know, COVID in an international pandemic. 3. The murder rate...

    Westbrook Traded to Wiz

Rockets just a got a ton easier for the Jazz to defend - even with a healthy John Wall. With Harden still supposedly demanding to be moved - I can see a scenario where Harden gets all his points, and they miss the playoffs.

Tough Day To Be In Law Enforcement

Technically speaking - it hasn't been cut yet. In reality - they've had over 100 officers resign or retire due to injuries from the riots, with 100 more scheduled to leave in the next couple of months - resulting in an over 20% reduction in their police force. And they have no new recruits...

Tough Day To Be In Law Enforcement

So what exactly are you implying Gameface? That carjackings are up 537% because the city supports the police and hasn't cut their funding? What would you want to see done if you lived there? You're entitled to your own opinion, but not to your own facts. The facts are in EVERY city where...

How much better are the jazz?

Seriously, it's going to be tough, but if Donovan puts up numbers anything close to last year's playoffs - I like our chances vs anybody. That being said, the West is a gauntlet. I don't know who is the 8th seed. Phoenix? New Orleans? Memphis??? Rockets? My guess is: 1. Lakers 2. Clippers 3...

Tough Day To Be In Law Enforcement

The best way to demonstrate the fruits of leftist policy ideas - is to enact them. This is one case, where it hasn't even been 100% enacted and already citizens are facing repercussions. The black neighborhoods that these policies are supposed to "help" are yet again hardest hit - often to the...

How much better are the jazz?

Think of it this way - the team that went to the 2nd round and was #3 in defense in the NBA is back. But, we've swapped out some players. Clarkson > Exum Conley > Rubio Bogdanovic > Ingles Ingles and Royce O'Neale are now further down on the depth chart. And while the Favors & Gobert...

Tough Day To Be In Law Enforcement

Yay! That defunding the police seems to be working quite well - if you are in the business of carjacking that is.

How much better are the jazz?

Gobert said he expects the Jazz to be the #1 defensive team in the league this season. They were #3 last time they had Favors. They were the #1 offense in the league after the Clarkson trade. This being Clarkson, Conley and Bogdanovics second year in the system and having more familiarity...
