Which Jazz broadcast combination do you prefer?

might be true about Thurl. Still, as a former player, I can't help but think he must regard some of the things Boler says as just plain ridiculous. In other words, Thurl must know much better than any of us at JFC just how little Boler knows about basketball

    Trade deadline discussion

Here's a thought RE: trading JC that I think we all need to consider: Is there a team out there who's thinking "yeah, we can get everything out of Clarkson that Utah has been getting..."? The more I think about it, the more I think the answer is No. Not only have we provided him a historically...

I think they should be interested in JC. And I think your breakdown of the minutes in this post is good. I still don't give it a good shot of being a realistic scenario.

the big issue I see with it is that we'd be acquiring two players who play over 20 minutes a night, and sending out only one player getting rotation minutes. So, how do we put both acquisitions on the floor? If we can't, then that waters down the advantages for us.

Which Jazz broadcast combination do you prefer?

I don't dislike Thurl. But at least Harpring could push back on Boler and his bolerisms a little bit. Thurl has been asked to just capitulate and play things 1000% non-confrontationally or -teasingly.

Do not trade Royce. TIA. It would have to be a home-run trade that has less than 5% chance of materializing in normal conditions. Dear jazzfanz, pls get your head straight when it comes to Royce. TIA.

    Jazz Pursuing Yuta Watanabe

This year I've learned that a "quick hitter" can mean: (a) when a player shoots early in the shot clock (b) when a player shoots late in the shot clock (c) when a player passes ahead in transition and the list is growing. It's a very precise and technical basketball term.

Utah always has one of the highest natality rates in the nation, so it makes sense. Utah def want a baby.

Holly seems infinitely more aware and on-her-toes than Boler, though.

    Yoga

You see, this kind of comment is very common, but it reveals the bias about what yoga is. It’s traditionally about breathing and preparing the body for meditation. The West has accelerated the physical-fitness image of it. You can get into it with limited flexibility—even the physical fitness...

The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

Definitely my favorite non-jazz team to watch. They over-help a little too much, but gawddamn they have lots of energy. If they can find a guy who can use a lot of offensive possessions with near league-average efficiency, then they shoot way up the East. In a flash.

    Yoga

“Yoga” describes a very broad range of activities. There’s some you should avoid, and some you maybe should consider, depending on your priorities. My ex was a highly trained Yogi, so I was exposed to many sides. On the physical fitness side of things, it can be great for hip stability, which...

    Jazz Pursuing Yuta Watanabe

I think I’ve reached peak anti-Boler. Hard to imagine it getting worse. The low point happened this year when he says “Tee” 4,000 times a game (as he addresses Thurl, by nickname, over and over again, needlessly). The new format goes like this: Boler cracks out some inane comment, and then...
