    Looking ahead to 2025-2026

I see this core in kinda of a limbo of "there's a bunch of intriguing talented dudes, but not a single clear number one guy yet, and the potential number 2 is the oldest guy that could be considered a long term piece, and for as much easy is to facilitate for him in a variety of ways, he can't...

    Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Depending on how Jazz tank goes, If Flagg (or any other college kid) is so set in avoiding the Jazz, they might wanna stay in college more than just another year. If we trade Lauri, they could be looking into playing through their entire college eligibility, maybe even consider a stint...

Is next season as a tank pretty much off the table?

I think that still gonna be the plan. I'd guess the plan right now would be to tank this one and the next, then start trying to compete after that (or maybe they trade Lauri in the offseason and show the plan to tank for another 2+ years).

Dallas trading Luka to the Lakers for Anthony Davis! Utah involved.

Honestly, the freebies we got is either some cash considerations (which still is a GM job, so okay I guess) or the new Ante Tomic and a guard that been a complete bust so far. Honestly, I believe that a "It's better Luka ends up in the Lakers than along Wemby or Shai with 10+ frp in the same...

Dallas trading Luka to the Lakers for Anthony Davis! Utah involved.

Even at that, if they ever knew It was about facilitating getting Luka to the Lakers, I wonder what was the reasoning to do for a couple of seconds and taking a younger player that by It's NBA trajectory is a salary dump, not someone we should expect a second contract. "If we break this to the...

    Taylor Hendricks injury thread

Yeah, in that sense I'm kinda a bit more worried about the whole ankle dislocation. It's complicated because there could be so much different ways that injuries can play out (different ligaments and tissues damaged, different bones to break, different points of fracture in the same bone, etc)...

    Taylor Hendricks injury thread

Sometimes you just get horrible luck with injury mechanisms. In this case It looked like he slipped, lost balance, then fell over his own foot.

Game Thread Oct 07, 2024 07:00PM MT: Houston Rockets @ Utah Jazz (Preseason)

As far as what I could read of Cy's post, he didn't mention that Markkanen on ball creation nears someone like Kawhi Leonard, Lebron James, Kevin Durant or even a healthy Zion Williamson, nor that Flagg gonna be this good at that as these guys, either out of the gate, or at his peak. What I...

I'll be waiting to see If the initial lineup stays the same for this one. Also maybe I'll actually watch this one, unlike the first preseason game, so may be interesting seeing the players against decent NBA competition and which lineups other than the starting one Hardy gonna throw out there.

    John Collins and The Clippers

If the Wolves were to trade Randle, they would lose Nas Reid scoring punch off the bench (or Donte). And still is a thing of throughout lineups, depth, etc. I actually think It's funny that what concerns you the most in that trade scenario is "the Wolves doesn't need another scorer that can...

    John Collins and The Clippers

Donte is a very nice player, but If they were to trade away from Randle, I believe they would (or should) want another offense initiator, even If an off the bench one.

    John Collins and The Clippers

Even more in a world that they trade away Randle, a bench scorer as Powell would make a lot of sense to the Wolves. I was surprised to read that, but It seems ESPN reports that Terrance Mann somehow is trade available. A package with both would make sense to me, another offense initiator off...
