Nurk also broke his leg right? Maybe he can help Hendricks out. It ended bad in PHX obviously, but Nurk was really respected in that POR locker room.

HOU and DET is a bad reference point unless you think their development only happened once they got vets. HOU and DET are two teams are winning with vets and with young players who began their development without them. The other team who built through the draft successfully is OKC who also...

I am way more cautious of our tanking chances this year. Yes, the west is still an incredibly tough conference. And we also lost Sexton. But a lot of things went our way last season to help the tank. I think Lauri will better, the young guys will be better, and we won’t do as much egregious...

    Hirable offense for his son.

He got more assists in Feb, but was a more efficient scorer in March/April. Over the course of the season Collier was just as good or better without Lauri/Collins. Regardless, I don’t think there’s a significant difference in his actual development. Nobody was calling for Collins, Lauri, or any...

Collier started playing better as the season went on. Did you forget who stopped playing as much as the season went on?

I hated how some Jazz fans gloated about that. Like it’s an always a good thing that Ainge is such a stubborn negotiator. Maybe it had worked in the past and in certain moves, but we definitely lost in many cases.

Collins is going to make you win more games. How many that is…depends on how many minutes, but it’s not black and white in the sense that we’re winning games or we’re not. He is going to hurt the tank, the extent to which he does can debated. I don’t really value the “playing with the vets”...

I think he is hurting things. He’s going to take some minutes that could go to a developing player. No way around it. And he’s also to help us win more than that rookie. We were a Bub Carrington game winner(and coin flip) away from missing out on our guy. Every game matters. Entertainment...

I’m just trying to create a scenario in my head that makes sense as to why something would happen this late in the game. If a team was trading for Lauri, they’d probably want to build their off season around it. Seems unreasonable to think it would happen at this stage. A Walker/Collins deal...

Collins isn’t playing his way into value. He had an extremely efficient 19/8/2 last year. It’s not his play that’s the problem, it’s the contract. Maybe the landscape changes and suddenly a team needs him. I’m not holding out for that. Just buy him out or waive him.

Pointless. All it does is lose lotto balls and take playing time from young players. If TH can’t play enough minutes, play Flip or other young guys more minutes. It’s not like those minutes can’t be put to good use.

Perhaps I’m reading into this too much…but maybe we’re working on a Lauri deal? If Lauri is gone, maybe you keep Collins as a cheaper long term option. Same logic for a potential Kessler trade I guess. Idk, seems like any move I can think of would have already happened. It’s obvious that we...

We’re getting kind of deep. If 1-2 of our young players has a decent jump we’ll be in serious danger of losing our pick.

That roster was not built to lose. It had several veteran players on it and very few young players. Depth and veterans is what wins games during the regular season. It's almost impossible to be a tanky team when you're 10+ deep and have very few young players in the rotation. And he literally...

Maybe we can make in a S&T with IND and MIL to send him to IND or take Kleber + Vincent to save some cash. Buyout/waive is totally fine with me. My least favorite option is keeping him. Don't want him playing instead of Flip/Ace/Hendricks and it makes me sick to force him to be benched.

Locke basically said that the Lakers were fighting over 2 versus 3 picks before the 22/23 season in a Conley+Bojan+others for Westbrook trade. We ended up with one pick....but we lost so much more along the way.
