It's a risky move to tie too much money on a complete defensive liability. If Jazz could land someone like Flagg, then maybe with him, Kessler and defensive guard to pair with Sexton it could work to reach for conference finals/championship in five(+) years.
Sexton is ideally a well paid sixth...
Noooooooo!!!!!?
There goes my MVP! (From the latest world cup tournament)
Ay, it's ok, I knew it. It's a tank (yuck!) tradition. To get a guard and move them over.
Jazz will try win the first few months. If they're fifty fifty team or better I see them push in for the play in. If it's closer to 40% Jazz goes into tank mode.
When I was in my teens and saw Michael Jackson's Earth Song, I was like sure this gotta change us, I was so pumped. I was just a stupid kid though. Now I know nothing is going to change quickly enough. It's a downfall from here on and now the only goal is to slow the downfall and try to find...
The market for sure is not non existent for them. Both are playing their best basketball in Jazz, this season. It's more likely Danny is asking more than most are offering, and rightfully so. If they want them, hand down a pick that has a chance of being around mid to late mid first a.
EDIT...
Really gotta hope Lauri is out only for tanking reasons. Would be very worrying if his back gets spasms after one game where he tried to be even a bit more active. I mean that would royally suck.
I'm not really talking about only taken shots, but he moved in a wider area than lately. I don't know if it has been his back or what, but last few games he's been mainly parking in the corner. Of course he did that a lot last night as well, but seemed the role was a bit different with Sexton...
I just realized, it was after Sexton getting sidelined in the first quarter, the last three quarters Lauri looked to be more active and more involved than most of the games lately.
But why? Is it because they are shopping Sexton, so using Lauri almost mainly as floor spacer has allowed the most...
Yeah, when's the last time he even tried one hand slam? It's been long. Slammed it in to the rim but that's what I want to see. Not all 30 minutes bc he don't have to break himself, but just once here and there so he doesn't get too bored and content to wait for the season to end.
My wild...
In a vacuum, it's a good tank loss.
With a closer look, you really don't want to see your almost max. guy that's been struggling lately, to brick one clutch shot, and then brick free throws in his next attempt. But at least Lauri was a bit more like himself at times and tried to be active. Jazz...
Do we run any plays for Lauri anymore other than c&s threes? If the answer is no, I wonder why. Either he/the team wants to be careful about his back or then there's developmental reasons involving the other players on the team. Few weeks ago they did run more plays to Lauri, with varying success.
Collier has better vision and defensive motor so I'd rather let him ride through some mistakes. I see him much more usable player in Jazz five years from now.
Aside of the obvious, the loss and Lauri bad shooting night...
The real elefant in the room is how bad Jazz offense is run with Keyonte. Things looked semi ok in the first half, but when Keyonte played there just was mess. Players were hands ready to receive passes that kept not coming or they...
