Fair point. BUT, by giving up an Allen/Koufos/Maynor you get to sell yourself to Mirotic and get first crack at him as a FA. You’d sacrifice the crappy/throwaway player to increase your odds of resigning him.

I don’t think trading a Grayson Allen or a Scott Padgett or a Eric Maynor or a Koufos for Mirotic is a waste.
